Little Brother to Chickasaw 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Nov 4, 2008 Played the course:once

Pros:

Along with Chickasaw and Tushka, Tishomingo SP provides 56 holes of disc golf in one park.

The first few holes are quite unlike any I have seen on a disc golf course, vistas I often see when hiking East TN! However, the baskets on some of these holes are extremely tricky to find- (when you think there is no basket, look down over a cliff!)

Cons:

Unfortunately the course design greatly drops off after the first few holes. The last 12 holes start to become monotonous- more logging road, neat idea, but not enough variety for my tastes.

This course is not nearly as good as the others on site. I believe it is a newer course however, and still needs some time to mature, but it appears most people prefer Chickasaw.

Other Thoughts:

Like bazkitcase5 said, the course just didn't sit right with me either. The best holes were at the beginning, but then they seemed to run out of ideas. Be sure to bring your camera!

I stayed in a cabin on site and played disc golf all day. What more could you ask for?

$3 a day to enter the park, but you can play both courses on site as many times as you want.

I would rate this course 3rd out of the 3 in this park. None of the 3 are top 10 courses, but when you consider there are 3 courses in one park, Tishomingo makes for a nice disc golf destination.
