Nice to have baskets, but… 2+ years

Pros:
There are nine decent DGA baskets in this multi-use park, each with a small, level concrete tee. There is a course map by hole 1, which starts next to the parking lot on the water tower side of the park. The course does loop back to the start after 9. And there are trees and OB possibilities for shaping shots on holes 7 and 9.
The hole distances start just out of the range of a beginner to recreational arm, which stretch out in length as you progress, finishing with a 400 footer and a 375 footer with the aforementioned line shaping. And the community seems to be interested when a visiting group of disc golfers drops by. We were joined by a curious local teen, and clearly, on the first Saturday of spring, the neighbors politely watched as we played a quick set here on our way to Falls Park.

Cons:
The biggest problem is that the first six holes just run back and forth and back and forth across the space, crossing jogging paths, benches, and even a small water play area on the way. If the park is busy, there will be some real safety concerns when the new players the course seems to be intended to attract, start heaving beveled edge discs as hard as they can, to reach the distances laid out here.
The lack of any tee signage means you'll want to get a good look at the course map before you play for the first time. The transition at holes 6 to 7 is awkward, to say the least. We purposefully played 1-5, then 7, and walked back to 6, then over to 8, rather than walking back up 6's fairway, as the map says. You wind up doing a similar amount of walking, but not in a fairway.
The park is flat and mostly open, so you won't get any elevation experience here, but you might get frequent wind experience.

Other Thoughts:
The teenager we met (Hi Steven!) was polite and interested in how to play, so my buddy gave him a driver to throw with us the last 4 or 5 holes, and I had a dx Roc in the trunk for him when we got done. It was rewarding to see the interest they have here in disc golf, and I'm hopeful he takes up the sport, and gets a chance to learn about the fun not just in this admittedly so-so park, but over in nearby Falls Park, as well.
