My College Stomping Grounds 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 26, 1998 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

In 1980, my buddies and I designed the first course in Eau Claire, using master frisbees to navigate a course the size of one square city block. Little did we know what awaited when we visited as adults.

This is simply one of the best courses in the country. It is long, but not overly long, extremely hilly and wooded, and requires a great deal of accuracy and both hyzers and anhyzers throughout. If you score well, you know you're on your game. If you don't, it might just be that you were off by inches and rightfully penalized by kicking into the woods.

This is what disc golf is all about.

Cons:

It's a pay course now, which is no big deal. You will see a lot of wild turkeys and hear gunshots, but don't worry: it isn't hunters on the course, but a target range nearby that we all believe shoots away from the course.

Amazing Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 1, 2005 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This course is by far the best course Ive played on. It's located right in a state/national park. Huge distance/ and technical shots. Hills, flats, trees, bends, dips; everything but water. Absolutely stunning setting. This is one of the courses to test your skills on if you get a chance.

Cons:

Heavy wooded on some shots. But the fairways are generous on most shots.

Other Thoughts:

Beautiful course in a state/national park.

None better 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Almost to wait time to get started. Nice and out of the way not to many people to bother you. Real skill check. With the tight lanes up and down hills and both long and short holes. A place to really test yourself and improve...

Cons:

Lack of running water on the old 18, but if you take the walk to the new 18 just a 1/4 mile down the road you can find cold h20.

Other Thoughts:

This is my home course and I love it. Out there every chance i get...
