Pros:

- Good variation of style and length. Some very steep up and downhill. A few throws across the pond and a few have trees in the way. Distance from 200' to 450' though not really any par 4's.
- Concrete tee-pads are marked with number. They are pretty long (though a little skinny)
- Some elevated baskets
- High quality baskets are very visible.
- Sign with course map in parking area
-

Cons:

- No map showing location of pin on tee-pad
- Course map here made it a little difficult to navigate. Was off on a few of the holes but made it through OK
- Hard to see tee pads from a distance
- Baskets don't have hole number. Threw to the wrong basket a couple times.
- Some of the greens seemed ridiculously small and the bog/cat-tails/ditch would have probably eaten more discs if it hadn't been winter.
- There were a lot of roads and fences that were very close to the holes. Difficult to see from tee-pad and wasn't sure what was OB. I'm sure the locals have their rules.

Other Thoughts:

Just wanted to give an updated review since nobody has reviewed it for a while. With some better signage indicating OB, mandos, etc., could see giving this course 4 stars. I imagine it gets kind of nasty in the summer but playing it in December before the first snowfall seemed like ideal conditions.

Local crew working on course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Dec 22, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

18 Brand new Discraft baskets purchased through local donations were installed Fall/2014! New tee box locations as well. New island hole on 11 in the middle of cattails. Hole 13 now shoots over the pond with drop zone on right. New configuration on 16,17 designed to eliminate gimme birdies. The course is getting better with a very active local crew: MOD Squad (Montrose, Olathe, Delta). New pin placements all over the course, which plays tougher than in the past. Lots of unique holes. Signature hole 18 tee shot shooting over a large pond. Big varieties of shots. Plenty of chances to air it out- but carefully because OB is never too far away!

Cons:

A few disc eating areas if you throw carelessly, including prickers, deep ditches, cattails, multiple ponds. Pretty muddy after the rain. Looking for some concrete tee pads in 2015. Lots of water hazards on back 9 so maybe chuck some Blizzards that float...JIC. A lack of vegetation on 14-16 makes for a dull experience but this is disc golf in the desert!

Other Thoughts:

Plenty of upside left in this course.
