This 18-hole park course is a nice counterpoint to the much tougher, much longer, Kooky Noosa course up the road.

Excellent concrete teepads with the hole number embossed into the back. Baskets in good shape, though they are single-chain and can be hard to see in the shaded areas.

Good assortment of hole lengths. Ample trees place a premium on being able to shape your drive and hit a specific line.

Most holes play through trees, though there are a couple of open holes that allow you to relax a bit on your drive.

Hole 1 is easy to find next to the parking lot, and the final hole brings you right back to your vehicle.

Navigation is pretty simple, as this is a compact course. The map is useful in the congested corner with holes 7 - 11.

Holes 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 are all kind of stacked up at the end of the course, with crossing fairways and general interference issues. If others are on the course you'll need to coordinate play in this corner.

No signage at all. A simple tee sign with hole number and distance would be useful to traveling golfers like myself.

A couple of holes border on "poke-and-pray" as they don't have an obvious fairway. It would take a few rounds to learn the local routes.

The park is utilized by many walkers on the trail that runs through the course, so keep your eyes open. Yielding to the walkers will only add a minute or two to your round.

18 holes with baskets in a county park! Most of the holes are short and you can play with a putter and be very successful. There are a couple holes where a 300 foot drive is rewarded but this is short and technical (to a degree).

You can get a round in in less than an hour if you are familiar with the layout, and is close to town and not far from the highway. Birdie runs are common and make the course fun. During doubles in a 5-hole span with three teams there were 14/15 birdies - it was fun.

There is potable water at the beginning of the course and a "blue room." The course is easy to navigate without a map and often there is someone on the course to guide you if needed. Parking is right next to hole one and hole 18 ends near the parking lot.

Teepads are concrete and baskets are mounted in the ground. This is a good place to have casual rounds with friends and family and the course is not overwhelming. There are a couple holes that may be daunting but the terrain is flat and the risk of losing a disc is minimal. There is some shade from the ponderosas so during the hot days it is not unbearable.

I usually bring my kids with me, and when they were younger a stroller was easy to navigate the course. There are rocks to climb over and bugs and pine cones to gather, to the boys enjoyed their time exploring. And with the course not being super long it is easy to get 18 in even with two in tow.

The walking path navigates through the disc golf course and the walking path is used quite a bit. Most people are courteous but be prepared to share.

Many holes do not have clear natural lanes. For example, hole 4, there is a huge tree in front of the teepad, and with many other trees in back, the hole forces you to throw an "s" flight path to fly around trees. Hole 2 and 18 are often crap-shoots and tend to scare newer and recreational players away because there is no way to see how to get to the basket. Both baskets are reachable but it takes a bit to figure out the crazy lanes through trees.

A couple of holes overlap each other and some locals don't know to give the right-a-way to the person ahead. This course is best played with a laid-back going to enjoy myself attitude.

No alternate holes or pin locations so the course doesn't offer much variety.

This is a shorter course and was put in by the county work crew without a lot of design experience and without much consulting. Never the less the course if fully functional and serves a great purpose. Although it may not be a destination course, it is convenient and quick and even league play gets done in 90 minutes or less.

We are trying to recommend removing a few trees so that a couple of holes are more inviting to new players, visitors, and those not wanting to compete all the time.

I like to play disc golf and don't get too caught up in a course having to be epic to play it. This is a good place to go that is safe and not too far from home. I can take my family or meet a buddy and have a competitive round to see if you can birdie every hole. If I had time to play disc golf right now, I'd rather go play it then write this review.
