Young, yet very complete course! drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 21, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

Great baskets, great layout, easy to follow. Pretty "woods" holes.

Cons:

Natural tee pads.
Garbage cans full of liquor bottles, and some pollution from players.

Other Thoughts:

Commuting between Grand Rapids and Detroit, I had a couple hours to kill and found this course labeled as being at a church. Immediately, I had my doubts about size and design. I checked it out on Udisc (I'm new over there), and it has some glowing reviews. I stopped and played.

First hole is long and out in the open, and then you get in and out of the woods as you play along the perimeter of the property. The back nine appear to have electrical service - I wonder if they camp out there or teach class.

The holes are well designed. The course plays tough in the woods however, as the trees aren't really beat in yet. Lots of branches making you hold very tight lines.

I would not hesitate to come back and play this course again. It's about 5 min. off the expressway and easy to find.

One other very unique thing about the course is the three different natural tee off locations. Very easy to spot, and very cool if you're taking the kids along, or teaching someone new. Each hole has 3 increasingly short tee off locations.

Once into the woods, you play along the top of a ravine. Very pretty course.

Players here need to practice "pack in / pack out" however. Who the heck takes a fifth of vodka out to the course? The garbage cans were overflowing with empty beer and liquor containers. I could see the staff from the church here getting real tired of dealing with all that.
