Great property for disc golf, but could use a redesign for safety purposes.

Super fun layout with lots of ace runs. Signage and washer system seemed accurate and had very minor navigational issues. Nice views of the truckee river was a nice addition. Course had a great feel overall, and locals were friendly. Sage mixed with pines gave an incredible smell as well.

Limited space for course layout, which caused a couple of bizarre cross ups on the front. Could see this course moving very slow at times because of this. Not much elevation change compared to other Tahoe area courses. Also lacked the epic views and raw nature at many other nearby courses.

I definitely enjoyed this course and will come back when in the area. With a couple odd hiccups in the layout i had no problems navigating and the walking trails made it very intuitive to find the next hole. Advanced players will be able to play this with minimal discs and be effective. Really fun short course with tons of ace/birdie holes. I'd like to see flags go on many of these baskets with all the blind looks.

Easy to access, pets allowed, works well for a family, with the adjacent park facilities. Hole maps are accurate and helpful for the different hole locations.

Some trash on the latter holes, power machinery near a few holes makes the course feel cheap. The lengthy walk between the front and back are hard to find for first timers. Some awkwardly steep hiking required between a few holes. Can get a bit crowded during peak times.

This was my first course in the Sierras, and I will always come back. Especially with family hanging out with the dog, they can walk the trail and stay at the ball fields while I play.

Lots of different pin placements. Pretty good signs at the tee boxes and the boxes were good. Back nine had signs pointing the way to the next box (wish front would have them.) Challenging basket placements made it fun and many holes had potential for birdies with a few holes definitely par only (at my level.)

No signs pointing the way...especially from 7 basket to 8 tee box. The little note on the sign at 7 tee box was totally, totally useless. After 30 minutes of looking a stranger showed us the way---we were walking to the car at that time. If your visiting...you should have a spotter walk down and find the baskets then point the way for you...otherwise the signs are just a rough evaluation of were the basket is. #3 hole is a great example when in the "C" position.

Got tired of tripping over rocks but hey when your in the mountains it comes with the territory. Liked playing it and now that I know the way would play it again. First timers be prepared for 3 hours or more...looking for baskets and boxes.

Very clean, Restrooms, Water, Large concrete tee pads some include a broom, Good signage showing multiple pin locations and distance, Benches or logs for seating, Great maintenance on the course, Easy to navigate, Open year round, Friendly locals and best of all Free!

The underbrush and the walk from hole #7 to #8(other side of the tennis courts). There is a bike/walk path that crosses the fairways from time to time.

They have made great use of the land considering it used to be a landfill. Local DGr's and Boy scouts have made improvements to the course, implementing erosion control projects with some cool steps made from logs. Some trails have steps made from rocks to prevent erosion of the hillside. Nice views of the Truckee River and valley. This is a fun 18 hole course that is full of that Tahoe-Truckee vibe. They take pride in their course here starting with the understanding that you are not to disturb or remove, cut, break, bend, snap, twist, stomp, squish, pick, tear, pinch, bite, slap, any of the foliage and trees. Just try not to disturb the natural habitat there. During the summer months (May 31- Sept. 5) there is a free concert in the amphitheatre every Wednesday. Live music while you play is a bonus anyday.
If I am driving on I-80 in either direction you can guarantee that I will be stopping to play a round of disc golf here! Only 1 ½ miles off I-80 a great place to get a quick fix of disc golf and stretch the legs out. This is a fun course and a good ego booster.

Shorter, quick play course. Great surrounding, lots of other great courses near by. Low traffic. Difficult but short holes. When course is set at C positions course plays much harder. Great signs and Cement Tee pads. Wind/weather provide unique challenges. A big change in the setting compared to the near by Tahoe courses. This one is very high mountain desert, compared to full forest.

Lots of shorter holes. Very rocky, brutal on discs. I play this course regularly and have a "Truckee only" bag to play here, not to abuse all of my discs.

Wind ALWAYS picks up about 3pm in the summer, and makes 2-3 holes, and putting difficult. However IMO is not really a bad thing. I like the wind challenge, but lots of people do not. Course will have snow usually from Nov-May.

Great range of holes. Some blind shots. Hard shots. Mediocre shots. Nice range.

Previous review regarding visibility of baskets on course is dead on. They are camouflaged. If this is your first time on the course, I would recommend you find a local as I did.

If I recall right HOLE 7 IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. They moved the tee pad which can be difficult to find. Not to mention the new pad is directly on a path frequented by pedestrians in the park; so be careful with your drive.
