Best Option in Red Deer 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 15, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- Nice signage though there have been a couple changes to course since signs went up which can be a little confusing for new players.

- Thee is an active Red Deer league and regular course usage if you're looking for other players to join up with. Check out Red Deer Disc Golf or Central Alberta Disc Golf on Facebook.

- Well laid out, enough elevation/obstacles/natural growth to make it an interesting short course.

- By far the best course in the Red Deer area.

Cons:

- Can be busy and full of large/slow groups at times, especially peak times on weekends. If you are a fast player be warned.

- Some holes (e.g. 1, 7) are ridiculously short, more of Par 2s than Par 3s.

- Tee boxes have been worn down and can be pretty slick at times, you're best to throw off side/back.

- Houses can definitely come into play, especially if you play the unofficial Back 9.

Other Thoughts:

- Not a very challenging course, other than the fact that the bowl layout makes it interesting for wind at times. A lot of the holes are very gettable for average/intermediate players.
