Players Here Need Some Guidance 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 10, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice new baskets and a big open field that might be good for practice.

Cons:

No tees were marked, nor has there been enough play that there are any worn areas to indicate where the tees might be. (If flags were present earlier, they are gone now.) No map or signage available to provide guidance. Based on my best guess about where the tees might be, several holes appear to be set up too close to other activity areas.

Other Thoughts:

Seems like some baskets were put in here without much of a plan.

Solid First Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 25, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

-First and only Course in the town
-Top notch baskets
-Good mix of hole size

Cons:

-Not very long
-Many of the shots are a little too wide open
-Hole 2 is considerably hazardous with the house, trees, and tennis court
-No hole markers for 7

Other Thoughts:

Great course for beginners/intermediates wanting a game. Not the hardest course in the world by any means but it's just fine as a first course for the town and anyone who wants to start playing disc golf.

Design Could Use Some Help 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 5, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Good baskets (DISCatchers).
- A few 300+ foot holes, mixed in with shorter holes.
- An interesting use of available trees on the property.

Cons:

- A few of the holes are a clear safety hazard...especially for less-skilled players (and/or in strong wind). Hole 2 is particularly tight/scary, from a safety perspective.
- A few holes' fairways cross, and I personally think the baskets for Holes 6, 7 and 8 are much too close to one another.
- Tees are simple flags at this point. Okay! But on the day I played two sets of flags were missing for holes 5 and 7 (something that could happen often, making players not know where to tee off from).

Other Thoughts:

It's an okay course! Not one where I would make a trip back to play it again without some additional thought/care put into the design. But considering it would be a ~15+ minute drive to the nearest course if one lives in Blooming Prairie, it's an okay place to throw some rounds and practice.
