Other Thoughts:
A very short 6 in a small neighborhood pocket park. The park is shaded by lots of old growth trees, and somebody calling himself Daddy Disc Golf designed a six hole layout in 2017
This is a place to introduce newbies, send kids to play, or to work on upshots. They've squeezed it in and around other facilities: #1 and #2 around the tennis court, #3 and #4 around the dog park. There's nothing wrong with it so long as there aren't other park users wandering around
Five of the six holes are in the 100' - 150' range. Everything is straight, and you're just throwing around and between trees
Hole #5 plays along the backside of the park: almost 300' with scattered trees, and a slope down to the road along the right side. This one felt like a real hole that you'd find in larger parks
Short little signs (fiberglass DGA with the stickers) - they're literally below waist level. A couple of signs are missing. The MVP baskets are at normal heights though
Somebody had the vision and energy to add disc golf to a small park. Maybe it serves kids living in the neighborhood or residents who want to toss a putter after work. I stopped on my way through the area with a newbie, and the place was perfect for introducing someone to the game in a setting that isn't just an open field. So thank you, Daddy Disc Golf.
For the rest of us, this is a bagging stop that takes more time to drive to than play. It might even take longer to read the DGCR reviews than to play it.
