Not a disc golf "course" 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 11, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

There is baskets for a disc golf course and someone mowed portions of the fairways. The trail you can follow near the course goes around a reservoir and it is nice. The "course" is partially playable if you use the GPS function in the UDisc app. The first hole is nice because its in an open area of the park.

Cons:

I can't really describe this as a disc golf course because there aren't any teepads, signs, markers, etc. You're essentially just following a mowed section of the thick vegetation and, sometimes, there's a basket at the end. The vegetation gets thicker the further you go along - I wish I would've had a machete to carve a path through it. The vegetation is a disc eater. I almost lost my disc a few times even though I was just taking short mid-range shots so I could watch where my disc landed.

Other Thoughts:

I am from the Colorado rockies so I was excited to play this wooded course, but I was quickly disappointed when I encountered the 3 foot deep vegetation on hole #2. The other reviewer is correct; this course is unplayable without the UDisc app and I'm soooo glad I read their review before attempting to play it. I had trouble finding some of the baskets even while using the app.
Its strange that the designer took this route for the course as other portions of the park have wide open greenbelts that would've made for a very nice course layout. I think they should put 9 baskets in these open areas and make the current course the back 9 for "extreme disc golfers."

Must use U-Disc! (Needs TLC) 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 12, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Mostly wooded. Three open-ish holes.
Lots of guardian trees.
Baskets in good condition, catch well.
This course could make you better if you played it - especially your approach shots, and your "narrow wooded" shots.

Rough isn't TOO bad. But it's there.

Cons:

Most of the tee pads marked on Udisc are off on the GPS by 10'-15'. But you will find them. They are marked by a distinct type of dark wood mulch that has been laid out for each tee.

Two of the holes did not have a reasonable line to the basket.

Long walks in between holes. This 9-hole course covers A LOT of ground.

Some nasty thorns.

Other Thoughts:

Here's the thing: If you don't have the Udisc app, and you can't use it to navigate, then don't waste your time coming here. You won't be able to find the tees.

The bottom line is...this course IS worth playing. As long as you know how to navigate it.
