A place to call home 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 5, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Raise basket on hole 15. Signature holes like 5(over a nasty wooded gap) and 10(Only 350 ft long but drops 150ft in elevation. Good variety of holes. The par on this course is right on compared to other courses in the area. Great signage and gotta love those big yellow bands(DiscCatcher baskets).

Cons:

Water hazard on hole 11. Easy to lose plastic here. Always have a spotter when playing here.

Other Thoughts:

Local crowd is very friendly and helpful.

A diamond in the rough 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 16, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

-very well maintained
-a wide variety of holes from tight wooded to long open shots over OB
-great tees, some people dont like rubber but i love them
-awesome vairety in elevation! having a top of the world shot down a wooded ravine is something i hadent seen before!!
-beautiful fairways! grass lined with trees
-signage is pretty good, wasn't too hard to find our way around during our first round
-tee signs are great! they even give you tips on how to play the hole
-bag hooks at every tee are nice too!

Cons:

-sinage could be a little better, a few holes were missing it
-the construction going on messes with a few holes, but that will go away eventually
-long walk from 12-13
-holes 11-12 felt a little out of place but they were still great holes

Other Thoughts:

once we had finished playing this course my group was floored! this is one of our new favorite courses and we think it deserves much more than a 3.5. its a georgous course that is a blast to play! i would deffinetly check it out if you have the chance!!

Beautifully challenging diversity 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 16, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

From a purely aesthetics standpoint this park is beautiful and worth simply a walkthrough. Everything from tree coverage, to the creek and its covered wooden bridge, to the breath taking views overlooking the backside this really is a treasured piece of land.
From a players perspective this course is a dream. No two holes are alike and make use of every throw you have in your bag. I can't think of a single type of hole that is not covered in one fashion or another as you navigate this course. There are both A and B pins which provide even further diversity.

Cons:

Many disc golf courses are crammed together due to limited space. This course is spread out well to make use of all the terrain and as a result the walks are a bit longer in some spots which may or may not be a Con.

There is also plenty or small projects that go along with a new course like clearing trees pushed aside from the initial construction, tee box enhancements, small bridges, etc....all of which I plan to take part in completing.

Other Thoughts:

I have played this course many times now as I consider it my home since it opened a little less than a year ago. It provides a throughly enjoyable challenge each and everytime I can make it out. The local group has done an outstanding job in making this course happen and I know that this course will only get better with time.
