Brewery DG and an accurate review 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 28, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

The homemade baskets were pretty good, including the unique one on #6.
Brewery and serving caboose right on sight.
Easy to access, just one turn after you exit I40.

Cons:

Only 1 of the 6 holes does NOT cross the parking lots or outdoor seating areas.
I can see all 6 holes only being played under two circumstances, no one is there (before they open) or if it's a DG event, where everyone is watching.

Other Thoughts:

A real neat idea to have a putter only course right there at the Brewery. I've seen it done very well at a few places, where there is enough room to have holes that are away from the brewing, drinking and parking areas, unfortunately, this is not one of those. Even if you would go in cool weather, there is probably always someone outside enjoying their brew with a smoke.
Since several of the baskets are right in the outdoor seating areas, they still could be used for putting practice, but throwing shots from 200' leaves too much chance for injury.
#4 is the only hole away from these areas, and it is grass the whole way.
With all that said, I'm still glad I stopped by. I've read about this "course" on several other trips to Asheville, but couldn't arrange a stop. A real easy course to bag and about the perfect way to end my course bagging day, while my wife was in a conference.
After playing the 4 in the Waynesville/Canton area, I came here for 1 more and have a beer afterwards. I got to play 4 or 5 of the holes and headed inside, through the boxcar to the serving Caboose and made my selection. I was just finishing my beer when the rain, that had been in the forecast for the day, started.
Driving back to the hotel, the rain turned into a monsoon, but I felt safe in my Outback, and completed my first course bagging trip in my new vehicle.
Looking at the only other reviews for this course, the OR was by an account with the same name as the brewery, and has played 1 and posted 1 course review (a 4 rating) for this course. The next reviewer was a little ticked off with that obvious Homer review and gave it a 0, to offset the OR. I feel this 1.5 is about where this course should be.
