Pros:
Short pitch and putt course located on hotel property in back courtyard. I don't think any hole is over 200 feet. It's a good warmup for nearby Beattie and Vandenberg courses. All holes are easily aceable with no real challenge for experienced players, but good putter practice. Good youth course or place to introduce beginners. The first tee is right out the back lobby door. As long as you had the courtyard to yourself , safari options would also present themselves. The hotel has a restaurant and bar onsite, although they were closed for renovation when we were there.
Cons:
No real tees or signs. There are small bricks used as tee markers, but they are less than a square foot in most cases. Navigation is a little tough without signs or any kind of won path, but its such a small course that a little time is all you need to find your way around. I roughed out a map and uploaded it under files, although the hotel clerk said they normally have maps available, but couldn't find them when we were there. The course is located in the back courtyard next to the pool and horseshoe pits and plays close to all these activities. The course is so small control shouldn't be much of an issue unless you're playing safari. Grass was really long when we played, but I would imagine they mow during season.
Other Thoughts:
The course is feeling a little worn and older, in fact the entire property is feeling a little worn. The hotel looked like it was undergoing a major renovation, when we got there. We didn't stay at the hotel, just stopped in to play the course. I think it would be great to stay in the hotel and come out and play whenever you wanted.
