Pros:
The Buck Course at Whitetail Trails is one of three 9-hole courses on site. This course is tailored towards advanced players, with much longer holes playing through dense woods.
+ Each hole has a concrete tee pad and the classic white Veteran baskets. Every basket has a DD flag on the top as an added bonus!
+ Provides some very tough holes that cater towards more advanced players.
Cons:
- Could use better navigation between holes. There are no "next tee" signs anywhere. Also in need of tee signs.
- Several holes are just a carved fairway in the woods with very few trees in the way. This allows a few holes to blend together as you get deeper into the course.
- A few holes are in pretty rough shape. Lots of downed trees/branches throughout the fairway. Could also benefit from a few trees being removed all together.
- #9 ends a little bit far from the parking area.
Other Thoughts:
Out of the three courses, I'd put Buck right in the middle of the pack. It's definitely the most challenging, however a little bit more clearing would go a long way on this one.
