Pros:

Good mix of shots. Some picturesque elevation changes on holes one, twelve, and fourteen. Baskets are in good shape. Tee signs are good with next hole info and bag hooks. Nice touch! Benches on almost every hole. Decent signage pointing you to the next hole if it isn't next to the last green. I used the course map on my phone and it was fairly accurate. Concrete tees were very level if not a little small. The open fairways were nicely mowed. There is camping on site and a swimming pool. Could easily make a cheap out of town weekend with your buddies.

Cons:

Holes four, five, eight, and nine had standing water on them. It rained three days prior and still had not drained off. Poor course design decision. Hole 6 green was on large, loose, jagged rock. Hard on putters for your approach. Hole 7 tee was also on this loose stone which made running up impossible without twisting an ankle. Hole 10 had no fairway. You play over a ravine that was full of weeds. I did not see any poisonous plants but saw the affects of them the next day. Hole 14 and 15 were just wide open fairways without any obstacles, but were made more challenging by the high winds that day.

Other Thoughts:

I admit, I was expecting quite a bit out of this "four star" course. The amenities are definately a bonus, but doesn't quite make up for the design problems. The "wet" holes may be better in the middle of the summer, but the jagged rock problem needs to be fixed before I could give it a higher rating. Just move the basket and tee! I probably wouldn't go back.
