Pros:

DESCRIPTION--this is a short, 9 hole course on school grounds. Perfect for beginners and those wanting short approach practice, or taking the younguns.

Teepads--concrete, OK condition
Baskets--at least 4 different kinds seen, two were pretty poor condition, but most caught OK. No Elite Series events would seem to be in the immediate future.
# holes--9, but two teepads for most, and several had multiple pin positions (see CONS)
Woods/park/open setting-mostly open, some trees
Elevation-couple small rolling hills
Distance of holes--from shorts, most under 225', some in the 150' range. Longs added 50'-100'
Free--but on school, so only when school not in session
Ease of getting to--very easy

AMENITIES
Parking--plenty, very close
Bathrooms--no
Water/food nearby--plenty in town, minutes away
Clubhouse/disc shop-no
Benches-surprisingly yes, several holes had them
Trash cans--small, but yes
Bag holders--no
Tee signs--sufficient
Next tee direction/signs--some
Wheelchair/cart friendly? No, yes

COURSE PLAY
Shot variety--not too much, putter and a Roc will do if playing the shorts
Layout--One loop, ends right where you begin, 30 minutes max
Ease of finding next tee--a little tricky since course is so compact and there are multiple tee/pin positions
General difficulty--9 under is possible from shorts
Mud/water issues--minor
Water or O/B to contend with--no
Difficult rough/lost disc risk--very low
Scrape/scratch risk-low
How busy was course/park--a few others playing on a SAT afternoon, but immediate area choices are limited

PROS:
I am always a fan of shorter courses for introducing the game to new players and kids, so kudos just for that.
A few holes had some minor shot shaping, it was not just an open field.
Some benches and trash cans were present, which I often do not see at full 18 hole courses with 4 star averages.

Cons:

The multiple teepads are confusing, as are the multiple basket positions, and some holes actually had multiple baskets. This is very simple, basic course, no need to complicate things.
Very compact design leads to some fairway overlap, so be careful.
A few baskets were in rough condition, several are single chain only.

Other Thoughts:

OVERALL

Fun/enjoyment factor, would I play again? No--but may bring my kids here.
Who will this course challenge? Beginners, those wanting to try for a perfect score or work on their approach game
Is it worth a drive? If you are a beginner, of have kids, yes, maybe 60 minutes, else, baggers only need apply
Anything unique? No.
Would be a half star higher with…getting rid of the multiple teepads and pins, and replacing a couple baskets

I am in my 50s, 70 or so courses played, 875ish.

Pros:

practice 9 hole course, behind school in middletown. great for putt practice, and semi long shots.

Cons:

not a lot of room, only 9 holes. Can they make this course with more holes and a little more room? Still needs a few more tee signs.

Other Thoughts:

Noticed they added some new signs and tee posts in great shape now.
