tone sweet home 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Probably be the only group out there when you go. very rural. seen all types of wild life. Behaved pets welcomed. only 18 hole course for some miles around. good mix of backhand/ forehand shots as well as open holes and wooded holes.

Cons:

Grass t boxes, no facilties/ trash cans. could see how it could get congested if alot of people were playing at the same time.

Other Thoughts:

good challenging course. good mix of short and long holes. ive shot anywhere from -4 to +10. the natural fairways force you to think about shot placement as there are many briar bunkers and tall grass roughs. at least a hand full of holes have considerable drops behind the basket so a missed birdie could end up with double boogie.

Very nice property to throw plastic! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 5, 2011 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Good balance between all different types of holes. Pure, natural feature inspired fairways. Big trees and cool rock shelves make the landscape varied and intreasting. Peaceful setting. Only course on public land for 35 minutes north or south, an hour west, and nothing exists east.

Cons:

Course is tone poles, dirt tee pads, and no amenities. For those who dislike those things you might skip it.

Other Thoughts:

I helped design this last year with a friend who grew up less than a mile from this course. It is a spot worth checking out for any disc golfers in the Norwich, Plainfield, or North Stonington areas as there are no other courses. This property and Mohegan Park in Norwich should be places targeted for petition as recognized courses someday.
