I'm a touring musician and I've played over 30 courses in the past year or so. Also looking to check out some nicer pro shops or disc stores around the country. I know there's some great ones in Texas but where else?

I've been to almost all 48 contiguous states. I think I'm missing North Dakota and that's it.

Clearwater Disc Golf Shop in Clearwater Florida
Cloud 9 dIscs in Hendersonville Tennessee
Final 9 in Orangevale California

yeah Clearwater for sure, havent really had a chance to get out to any of the other major ones.. i know Innova is supposed to be opening a store just cant remember when/where. :(

The Clearwater Disc Golf store, and when further south in Florida: Sun King in Sarasota.

Discovering The World in Buena Park
19th Hole in Sylmar (small but Steve Rico runs it and he gives A+++ advice)

They're both So Cal shops

Phenix Disc Sports in Denver (Arvada), Colorado. Small shop but it's packed full of discs, and not just the majors either. The guys there are super friendly and give out advice and maps to the local courses.

If you're near Ann Arbor, MI...

This place is the bomb!

http://www.throwshop.us/

Selection on premises that will make you drool.
Obscenely well stocked with all the staple items and they carry lots of interesting, unique and hard to find stuff as well. owned and run by people who live disc golf, make courses happen and can make good recommendations about wht might work well for you based on what you are currently throwing and what it's doing for you.

Disc N' Dat in Florence, KY, near both Lincoln Ridge and Idlewild.(Dan, the owner is a big part of the Cincinnati disc golf scene and is a great guy.)

The Nati at Pine Ridge Lodge right at Hole #1 at Mt. Airy Forest in Cincinnati is a nice shop in a cool old building. Two practice baskets (one set up fore putting and another set up more for short approach shots) outside the shop and a net for driving.

Alpine Ski Center in Charlotte has a decent selection. I'll second (or third) the Clearwater thing and also mention that the Pro Shop at the International Disc Golf Center in Appling, GA is pretty cool too.

Spinners on the Green in Scotsdale, AZ. Its right off the 12th hole at shelly sharpe and there is a bar right next door! plus ginnelly and keith run the place.

The Velvet Paw in Nanaimo, BC. It's not in the States, doesn't have great selection and I don't know if the owner even plays herself. But it is located right across the street from a nice course, it's the only show in town and the owner is a really nice lady. But really, I just like the name. Velvet Paw. Just thinking about it makes my form smoother.

Since OP is from SC,

Fins. Furs, and Feathers in Sanford, NC is ran by Chuck Connely, he of Spike Hyzer and Home Grown Tour fame. He has a ton of goodies in there.

In this economy I have to look out for me. My local shop was charging 18 bucks for something I could buy online for 15 plus I earn discounts the more I buy. I mean I could just start selling my own brand new discs at the course and still turn a profit. I guess that would solve both problems. I support the sponsors of this site and the locals help support me. Ha ha I'm not doing this, but I know I have a few wheels turning.

By the way I went to one shop in S.C. and it was terrible. One rack of disc's with nothing appealing to me. Plus the prices were way to high. Although I got the store owner to lower his prices by letting them know about the one of the sponsor sites on here. He tried to say they charge shipping and I told him they must have forgot to charge me. Then I showed him where it is free shipping for orders 12 dollars and more. He then matched the advertised price for my sister I was trying to get a deal for.

The moral of the story is why not let your local store know about the deal online and let them know would rather support them, but you are unable to pay their higher prices. If they do not want to cave in then walk out and order them from your favorite online store.
