Strangest Place You Ever Found A Disc

The Son's of Hermann Hall in Deep Ellum TX has a glass case in the downstairs bar with a dx roc spray painted and a bunch of signatures on it. Nothing to do with disc golf, I think they were just looking for something the could display the signatures on.

Son's of Hermann is a fratneraty or brotherhood of some sort. They have shows and events in the building.

I've had a ton of new discs in my bag that I didn't know where they came from. It confused me at first until I realized it wasn't my bag and that the other guy on my card was blankly looking into my bag just as I was in his...

That's hilarious, I would have loved to see the two of you staring into your bags and having no idea why all the wrong discs were in there.

I had the strangest experience 2 days ago. I shanked my drive off into the woods. I had just asked to play through a 4 some, so as I went into the bushes to find my disc I told them to throw their drives.

The guy yells "Fore!" as his disc is coming my way. I see it going into the woods over my head so I watch to spot it for him. It nails a tree above my head and falls down.

About 2 seconds later, another disc falls down and lands right on top of his. He had knocked this brand new, unmarked TeeBird out of the tree. What are the chances??!! :) I told him he had a 2 for one special.

I doubt anyone has ever witnessed this happening or ever will in the future....low probability to be sure!

My brother and I had an interesting experience the other day. My Blue Champ Beast hyzered out into the woods on Adler #9 in Chicago, and then my dad threw his Orange Comet in nearly the same spot and my brother and I hustled ahead to dig them out. My brother reached the woods first and goes "I see a clear one and a pink one," and he realizes that neither my dad or my disc is clear or pink and he picks them up. I dive into the woods and immediately see a yellow disc and pick it up. Turned out my brother picked up a Champ Wraith (pink one) and a Champ Valkyrie (clear one), and the one I picked up was a Champ Beast. All three discs had no name or number and had the innova flight ratings written in sharpie on the back. It seemed as though somebody got mad at their champ plastic and let it fly into the woods.

The craziest part of the whole story is that I throw Beasts, my brother throws Wraiths and my mom throws Valkyries. The disc gods smiled upon us that day.

Our last find was a practically new uninked DX Viper. It was white and was sitting on the edge of the brush right in front of my wife's white star stingray. That is the second time we have found a same colored disc in the location of one of ours. Strange place to leave one too...clearly visable, she thought it was hers until she picked it up.

Found a green champ boss about 1 ft off a fairway at Acorn park a week or so ago, looked at it like 3 times before I realized it was a disc. Tossing a neon green disc into tall grass sounds like a recipe for losing it. will likely be the first disc I try dyeing so if I ever decide I have enough arm to toss it (not likely at this point) I can find it it I miss the fairway.

Didn't find a disc, but...
#17 on White Birch. amazing drive, little annie on it, coasted perfectly down the hill 30' from the basket. Threw my putt XD, went just right of the basket, then continued to roll 40' down the hill and into a ravine. Climbed down, tomahawked one back up, was climbing up and saw my disc come back and pass me up... I ran back down and did the same throw. While I was waiting to see if my disc decided to stay up there this time I heard a ring. In the middle of a ravine I found a guys cell phone who was playing #5, I never asked him how it got there, just had him meet me on 18 tee.

We actually did it twice or three times in the same tourney. We kept grabbing each others' bags or just about to grab a disc out of our bags. The time before realizing it wasn't our bag got shorter and shorter each time. The first time though was a good 5 seconds of, uh....... oh crap.

Most unusual place you've lost and found a disc

I once lost a really nice Star plastic Starfire while practicing throws in a gas line right of way. Went into some really thick bushes and even though it was yellow, I couldn't see it. I still wonder if it's sitting there to this day.

I once found a Red "Oddessy" disc (Strange thing...had a DX-like rim, with a translucent plate) on the side of the road near Giles Run in Lorton. I was driving on Lorton Road, when I spotted something red. I pulled over and at great personal risk (anyone who's driven in that area can attest to this) I crossed the road and picked it up. I called the guy whose name was on it, and he laughed his ass off. He had never even been to Giles Run. Said he hated it and gave it to someone, who must've gotten really frustrated with it, and chucked it themselves at the 'scenic overlook' or 'bowl hole' on 15 silver.

Once I found a disc in a fairway right near my bag. How I didn't see it when I dropped the bag still eludes me.

Found a star destroyer in the middle of the fairway one time, called the guy and he told me just too keep it, about a month later got my first ever ace with it :D

I don't have a real unusual one, but I did once throw a drive at LL Gold, and have it land literally on top of Dana's CE leo. I picked up my shot, looked down, looked up, looked down again. I was in disbelief.

I found ArcheType's gazelle in the creek at the oaks in mokena...it wasn't lost though!

I'm driving home from Giles Creek, after another gruelling round, and as I come to the intersection of Furnace and Lorton Road, something red catches my eye on the side of the road. I stopped, the car, and ran across the road, which honestly wasn't the safest thing to do, and it indeed was an Odyssey Desk.

The disc had a name and number on it, so I did the right thing and called the owner. He laughed his ass off when I called, said he hated the disc, and gave it away. I think someone grew tired of it (it's got a nasty hook) and tossed it from the scenic overlook by the pro basket for 15.
