Worst Disc ever purchased?

the worst piece of trash i ever bought was the Quest Scream. the plastic was garbage too and split after on good hit.

For me it would definitely have to be a Dragon. I bought it hoping to not loose a disc on hole #3 up in Jefferson, NC. Little did I know the Dragon would just make me throw a roller into the water. I just left it floating on top of the water. : )

I bought a dragon for water holes. That dragon seems to not only float in water but seems to want to go to the water.....I'd be better off growing a set and throwing my heavier star plastics!

Yep... those sound like typical Dragon stories. :D

I bought several of them when I first started and was playing a course with water on 15 of 18 holes. They served me while for a short while, but once I started to learn how to throw properly I quickly out grew them. They've all been given away except for the first one I bought which I'm hanging on to for sentimental reasons.

DX TeeRex is crap.
I've owned two dx teerexes, and they were great, the first one ended up getting flippy on me, but the second one is a first-run mold and is amazing. Do you drive sidearm? if not, that might be why it doesn't work well for you.

I bought a star teerex today and it's even better :)
I throw 98% RHBH, so no sidearm for me. I like my Star TeeRexes a lot and after throwing several into the water I thought I'd opt for the less expensive DX versions and bought a few. One was flippy right out of the box. The others didn't take more than a handful of throws before they'd turn over without trying. The DX and Star TeeRexes fly like two different molds. I'm sticking with Star for TeeRex.

Sigh...time to admit it...Aerobie Arrow for me. On a totally unrelated note, I do know someone with an Aerobie Arrow that only has about 3 throws on it for sale. Go ahead and PM me and I'll pass along the info for you...:)

The worst disc that I had the displeasure of trying to use is the 86 Softie. Now, I can't call the 86 Softie a bad disc. A lot of really good players have used them. I actually picked up the disc after playing a round with Scott Martin, who was deadly with them. However, once it was in my hands the 86 Softie transformed from a capable touch putter into a confounding, bewildering piece of chain-defying plastic. Seemingly no matter how I tried to throw it, the 86 Softie would perform a mystifying dance that would dip and float tantalizingly close to the basket...and miss. The perplexing flight paths seemed to create new and original ways to avoid the basket with each toss. It was as if the disc put a spell on the basket, creating an impenetrable shell. Try as I might, I could not master the baffling ways of the 86 Softie.

Not that it made it the worst disc I've ever purchased. It WAS the disc that cost me the most strokes.

First off, I am just flipping you some $***. Anyone who knows me on here knows I am not being serious. I am always open minded to others opinions. It just happens to be my favorite putter. That's all dude.

I know you were messing with me I just had to mess back.

Don't know what I was thinking saying it was the Blowfly. I just remembered it most definitely the Lightning #2 Roller. I got it from a locally owned sports shop that was having a sale and the disc was only 5 bucks. This thing feels huge, it far and away has a bigger diameter than any other disc I've had. It won't even fit in those velcro in bag dividers, and I couldn't get it to roll for ****. Probably because I didn't really know how to throw a roller at the time but I certainly tried. Its my dogs disc now ... she put 2 sets of teeth marks in it and doesn't want anything to do with it either anymore.

ah the good ole wolf

I hate the Wolf. Can't throw it worth a crap. Beginners disc my a**.

My first trip to a sporting goods store to buy discs I had no clue what I was doing. I picked a DX Tee Rex, polecat and a white 177g DX wolf. That first round I could not figure out why the midrange would go farther then the driver.

Now a couple of years later, the polecat is dead in my trunk. The DX tee-rex zigged when it should have zagged and drowned in the Susquehanna River. And, the DX wolf is still in my bag. Hell, it lasted longer then my first bag. The old girl can only do a couple of tricks (she's best at rolling over). I keep bringing home fancy new pups, but there is something about that old faithful wolf, I just can't seem to bring myself to put her down.

The wolf is my Dad's go to disc for short drives, most approaches, and long putts. I can't stand the thing.

My least favourite disc? Tough call. Could be the Leopard I bought that didn't last a round (my buddy tried it out and annied it in a cross wind - about 400+ feet later it landed somewhere in a swamp - good disc, but all too short a life). That said, I love Leopards in general. It could be the Star Wraith I have right now, but I'm pretty sure that as I get back into practice I'll have the snap to use it. Loved my Pro Wraith. I could say it's my dragon, but really it's a situational disc so it only gets used when it needs to be used and it throws fine as long as you don't huck it too hard - and then a little hyzer can keep it in line. Nice disc for water or through tight trees due to the small diameter.

The EliteZ Flick. The worst disc I've ever bought hands down. I used it for about one round then traded it off to a friend. I couldn't even tomahawk it well, it just spiked right to the ground.

Hm. I forgot one disc I never really liked - Elite-X plastic and it was either an XS or XL I think. It always slipped out of my hand too early or I over compensated for the slippery plastic and held too long. It also had too much fade for the distances I was getting out of it at the time. I was almost relieved when it disappeared into a blackberry patch.

If ever a thread needed a poll, this was it.

While I'm at it though, I'll put in for the Birdie, which I could never get to do what I wanted it to. I bought one just for kicks, decided I didn't like it, and then promptly found two more! Sheesh!
