What I did today. A 175 gram Star Beast, originally white. Used iDye Poly Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green on the background in a bed of liquid dishwasher fluid (5 hours). Hand painted the image with Spike-it worm dyes and shaving cream.

Yesterdays dying. Not Thrilled about the hand and the face. So much tiny detail. It was really too hard to get that fine by hand.

175 gram Star Leopard. Dish detergent and iDye Poly (Orange, Yellow, Turquise, and Lilac). It appears like the lilac and orange mixed and made a brown :-(. Not happy with the iDye yellow, it just doesn't seem to show up well on discs I've done. This one spent 20 hours in the dye bed.

sadly, those discs popularity will die off as they do annually, when these discs start to come back to reality. as they did tonight :clap:

Is there an instructional thread for this dye method or a general name for this type of process? It looks great and I haven't had great luck with shaving cream or detergent for tye dye effects?

How do you guys get those sweet, clean stencil dyes over the shaving cream? Stencil then mask for the sc bed, or dye over the already tye dyed disc?

Some small runs here and there, but overall I'm liking what I can do with worm dyes.
