I gotta new Ridge today.
Blue granite 167 grams.
Its perfect, exactly what it says it is.

I was looking for something in between my XD and my VP.
I came up with a list based on the numbers at DGC of what to look at.
I wanted something for 60-150' approaches, and for putts where a straighter, lower shot is required than what I can do with the overstable VP.

My list included the Aviar P&A, the Voodoo, Zephyr, Dart, Goblin, Ion and Mako.
The Ridge just felt the best with a driver grip, so I got it.

I also pawed through the all the new ABC discs today, and the new Westside discs and threw a Money putter, as well as the Swan.

The Swan felt better in my hand, but I sunk the Money, dead center chains, from 30 feet.
In the store.

Both could be useful in the right hands.

Ridge is dead straight, mid glide, low fade, exactly what I was looking for.
Its really easy to work, even on anny lines and stops on a dime, without those ugly rollaways. :hfive:

I could replace at least two faster discs with this one Ridge, plus the gap its filling in my bag, so its actually like getting three news discs for the price of one. :D

As far as I know they only did a run of them for the 2009 worlds. I think it was part of the players pack. I don't know much more than that, I just love me some monarchs.

Yep, one run, TFR only, all have the butterfly /circuit board stamp.
It's a superb turnover disc and will eat Sidewinders for lunch.
Mine never ever leaves the bag.

Got a Champion TeeBird 167 for 8 bucks new
Also a Glo Sidewinder 165 for 6 bucks new

It's bittersweet when a store goes out of business.

KC Pro Roc 180 -- Pink w/ blue stamp
Champ Leo 171 -- Marbled tangerine with shades of awsome!!! Purple Stamp (and one of the pretiest discs I've seen ina long time)
172 SSS Magic -- Baby blue prototype.

I just got:

179 big stamp stingray yellow
180 big stamp stingray blue
173 2009 usdgc champion mako pink
174 cryztal stlaker red

On the way:

Max weight team roc Star ontario
2 pro line cobras

Its been a good month for me and new plastic.

Pro Wraith FTW!

My league gives a disc to the top three spots for each Am division (Pros play for cas$h). You get to rummage through a box of new plastic and pick what you want.

Finished 2nd in the AM2 Div (personal best of 2 down, with -4 handicap).
Sorry, I digress - they didn't have anything I was really looking for, but they did have a 175g Pro Wraith, which struck me as "highly tradeable," so I grabbed that bad boy! The only thing better than free is winning it!

Think I might be putting up a TRADE post soon with pix of that Wraith and some other stuff.

I wish the walmart where I lived sold discs. Is this a common thing? Ive never seen discs at "the walmart".

I dont think for michigan. I've looked all over and never seen em

168 P PD and a mini to get me to the minimum $12 for free shipping at DGC.

Also picked up 3 x-outs at PIAS-172 Q-Sent, 175 S PD, and 170 Champ Eagle-x, all $9 a piece.

Nope. Lost a bet on this one. When I started playing, I told the guy that took me out for my first round that I was just going to grab some discs at Walmart, and he told me that they didn't sell them there. I bet him that they did ... and ... they didn't. :(

The only thing you can buy in a 'store' here is Innova (Big 5, Sports Authority, etc), which I think is why I gravitate towards Discraft .. crazy huh?

DX San Marino Roc 175 - I just picked up from a gas station in Mukwanago, WI as I was about to play the towns course before Phish on Sunday.

Pro-d Magnet (soft) 171

Pro-d Stratus 171 - This thing already looks pretty misshapen after hitting just a few trees. I really like this mold though, I'm probably going to have to grab one in Elite-x too.

I'm still a beginner. These discs are added to my lineup of:

Elite-z Buzzz 176 (should I try a lighter one? in pro-d maybe?)

DX Viper 169 - I'm not a big fan of this one. It's the rim.

DX Dart 175

any feedback on my disc selection would be very helpful. Should I add or subtract anything? I noticed some of my discs are at the higher end of the weight spectrum. Any comments on this?

Depends on the store. There is a proven market in my town, so WM is happy to stock the equipment. We get some basic Innova and a little Millennium.

Picked up a new 172 wt Stratus in Pro-D plastic. I threw it around on my home course after league on some of the more wooded holes to get it beat in much quicker. I'm hoping to get some consistent hyzer flip that I've gotten with my other lighter stratus
