WANTED: BETA Testers for REVIEWdg

We are in the process of putting together a review website that we call REVIEWdg and we are asking for a little help from folks who would like to be BETA testers.

We just need you to register at the site and review a couple of discs – kick the tires so to speak. We welcome your feedback here.

All of the navigation stuff is not in place and there is still a lot of housekeeping to do, but the basic REVIEW engine is built and we are curious as to what you think of it all.

Some of the questions/drop-downs we ask you to fill out help us build dynamic charts that will become available to users once the database starts to grow. We will be adding new manufacturers and discs all of the time. And remember you don't have to fill out every line – only fill out the ones that you want to when it comes to styles of throw and disc characteristics.

It is databases and it grabs thumbnails - so it will be a hog.

But it moves as fast as the refreshes on the 8 or so computers I have seen it on.

But this system will be filterable based upon folks who have the same distance/power as a user.

Also reviews can be tailored to throwing style, condition of disc and weight ranges via a charting system that will be introduced after more data points are collected.

It seems more like a popularity survey than an informative site. I would be much more interested in something with unbiased flight characteristics. And it would be great to have some specs, history, and even profile pics or drawings.

It is just a shell right now... there is no data... to get to what you want we need reviews. there is a reason there are so many fields. Unbiased flight characteristics will end up coming from a composite of the reviews... the charting capabilities of this utility are slicker than snot... just needs data.

Once there are a bunch of reviews for the same disc - it will be filterable. Same power, Same level of wear on the discs, Same weights, Style of throw... but right now it is just empty.

As for profile pics and drawings - that is why we link directly to the manufacturer sites. At some point in time we will prob add the pdga specs but we are trying to find out if our charting engine will function properly so we are looking to get some reviews in the hopper.

Thanks for taking a look... try a review - As long as the reviews being submitted aren't - I like this disc/I hate this disc then your concerns will take care of themselves.

I have to say, the reviews that have been submitted so far are top notch and exactly what we were looking for.

You should include the altitude that people are throwing at too. It makes a huge difference and I think it is a cause of a lot of conflicting reports online.

You might want to make sure that using screenshots directly from Innova's site is legal. =/
