hi im looking for a straight stable to slightly overstable fairway driver. sort of like a fairway driver buzzz? ive looked at the saint, the teebird and the tl and all of those seem to fit that role. im just looking for suggestions as to which would work best and what plastics and weights would be ideal. im sure this has been talked about before and i did some searching and didnt come up with much. i currently throw an U.W. opto river about 280-320 max, a 175g dx banshee 280-300 max, U.W. z buzzz 250-280 max and a 175g eclipse ion 150-200 max

Discraft Z Stalker, maybe now a Titanium Stalker!!! Very straight only slightly overstable at your power and very predictable.

I think Teebird is exactly what you're describing. To me, the Saint has some turn and flies closer to an Eagle, which is fine, but not exactly straight. Teebirds are slightly overstable, and when they beat up they become awesome turnover drivers. Champ Teebirds are really good, and the recent runs of Echo Star have been good also.

Just a suggestion. You can hum and haw over this forever, but you'll never do better than a TB.

Tons of choices, all depends on how straight you want to go. Teebird, Cyclone, type discs, or hyzer flipping understableish discs for really straight.

I think my Teebird probably flies a bit more overstable than my Saint does, but that's me. By "stable to slightly overstable" do you mean the line that Innova gives the TL on their website? Because if you do, then that's the best disc I've thrown for that. I can get a similar flight out of my Avenger SS, but I know a lot of other people tend to turn those over and even roll them. The Saint and beat Star Teebird I throw both have a bit more fade than the TL. You could also try a Gazelle for a shorter flight but less fade.

Teebird or TL depending on how much fade you're looking for. The TL will fade later and less than the Teebird.

Star Teebird 171 is my go to utility disc. If you are looking for something really straight try the Discraft Impact Esp

The ESP Cyclone is a great choice. It has the feel of a mid, easy to throw, and very workable. It is close to having the flight of the Buzzz, but with a lil less fade. It does have a bead.....for some reason ppl like to blame bad throws on beaded discs. It is deff worth trying. I have been getting it out around 275-300ft on low power with good snap.

TL will be straighter out of the box. New premium plastic Teebirds have too much fade to qualify as straight. Or, just hyzer flip your River.

A Stalker is exactly what you are looking for, and you won't be disappointed. But get it in z plastic...not Ti. Ti stalkers are great, and I love them, but they are much more overstable. The z has a very similar line to the Buzzz...just 25-50ft farther.

^ Leopard is slightly understable when new and will continue to be more understable as it gets beat in.
