I'm sure this topic have been asked before but here goes. I'm a RHBH thrower that gets around 300' off the teebox. What suggestions would you make for a good anny disc for my style and distance that would hold that line throughout the complete flight? I'm using a DX Archangel (175g) right now that I like quite well but was kind of wanting to try out something different. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks.

Neutral stability discs make the best anhyzer discs. They'll hold the line w/o flipping into a roller or flexing back out. There are many discs that would fill the roll.

There are situations where I have thrown all of the discs in my bag on an anhyzer. Ones that won't fade out might be: Leopards (seasoned Pro or DX), XL (D or X), GL River sub 170g.

The Amp and Secret Weapon would work in this role. I do think the Amp will fight back harder near the end of the flight though.

Another option would be mids. Meteor or Flying Squirrel would be my recommendations for that.

The Pure will also hold an anny line very well, although I haven't thrown one over 250' to see how it would do with another 50'.

You throw that with anhyzer? does it not just go straight into a roll?

Full power, flat release with good height gets a nice predictable right turn all the way, then it flattens out right before landing.
I understand this is not "anhyzer" release angle, but why not let the disc do it for you?? :)

A lighter champ Valkyrie might do the trick for the Ann release... Or stalker? Or buzz? Beat in eagle?

It's not the mold. It's the individual disc, and its stage of wear or stability. My 2 centavos...

I throw about 350-375. I have a few discs that I like for Anhyzer shots. From slowest to Fastest. Buzzz SS, Underworld (great for Hyzerflip also), River, Avenger SS and a Tern. The Tern is beat up.

Ah gotcha. I agree with the wear thing too. One of my favorite go to's for an anny shot is my beat up champ boss. Give it a little anny and it holds it just long enough to clear an obstacle and flatten out and glide for a ton of extra D. I've got the throw perfected on a hole on my home course that has a huge tree with very long branches to get around.

Personally, I'll use either a CE or Star TL, or a JLS for this shot. Faster discs tend to want to fade out too much. A slower disc will hold the line for a longer time, and will generally get similar distance to a wide rim driver. Most people don't believe that until they try it for themselves.

a beat Dx EX is the best FH anny disc ever, released flat or tad of hyzer.
a leo will do the same, just can't crank on it as much, good for long touch anhyzer, FH that is

i got a pretty beat s-pd that is getting there, but still isn't as consistent with how is "pans out" like the EX

First of all, I dont have a big arm like alot of the people here, when I first stated I threw an Archangel 172 as my turnover disc. I tried a Roadrunner and Sidewinder and couldnt turn them over consistently, then I tried the Mamba 170. It turns over nicely if you throw it flat, if you throw a high anny it will s-curve nicely and if you crank it the disc turns into a nice roller. Its a very controllable disc, if you dont have a big arm and it being in Champ and now Star plastic it wont beat ups as fast as the DX Archangel.

I suck at big anhyzers but I use beaten dx Teebird for them, Pure and now Buzzz for shorter. Anything that holds it's line should be okay.

I'll throw the S-line TD2 into that list too. Perhaps a little less glide, but it falls between the speed of the archangel and the mamba, and it is also quite controllable.

Dx Leo or Amp or Underworld for drivers

Tangent or Comet for mids

Seasoned Pure or my beat classic Judge for putters

Common choices would be Avenger SS, Sidewinder (beat), Roadrunner, TL, Teebird (beat), River, Underworld.

Or higher speed choices: Vulcan, Katana (pro, beat), Destroyers (typically DX/Pro, beat), Mamba, Nuke SS (beat).

Personally, I use a lighter weight beat Champ Teebird or lighter weight Star Roadrunner. Easy to find.

I will second the neutral disc recommendation. I feel that straight/neutral discs like the Teebird, River, etc are the best for throwing both hyzers and anhyzers WITH NO WIND. For annies, they ride the turn without burning, hopefully finishing flat for max distance and control. For hyzers, they tend to ride the shot better than overstable discs, and instead of going straight and then dumping, they smoothly turn the whole flight. When there's wind, its obviously more difficult to shape lines
