[Axiom] Axiom Envy

I threw my p envy yesterday. i found mine to be quite a bit more OS than my N envy, which is a good thing. i threw them back to back on some approach shots and there is a noticable difference between the plastics. i really like it.

I didn't notice a difference at all between N and P Envy

Nor did I. Proton is not beating up like my Neutrons were, but again, Neutrons wear was mostly cosmetic. The only flight change I saw was slightly less fade, but keeping that good HSS.

I threw a fresh Neutron next to a fresh Proton, same weight, and they flew exactly the same for me. A great disc, all around.

The P and N envies I have fly exactly the same. I just alternate which one I pick to throw

I'm preferring the P right now. It's very warm here in Korea, and the P is still fairly stiff, where there is noticeable flex in the N. As I mentioned, the P is also cosmetically looking better than my Ns. Proton also seems to rip out of my hand just a little smoother. Oddly though, I find Neutrons to be better for forehand upshots for me. I've got the Mahal, so I guess I've got room to carry both!

FWIW, after a couple of rounds/field work with the N Envy, I'm finding some of what you were talking about, the 'unusual' amount of dings on the lower rim/'bead' area.

No difference to the flight yet, but it is showing wear more than the earlier N discs (like the early Volts.)

Before I start taking fire, this isn't a beef. I'm on record saying that, if they've tweaked the N to make it a bit more grippy/pliant, and also maybe season faster, it's a good thing.

Don't worry I started the fire yesterday :D and would agree its a GOOD thing.
With all MVP discs there is not much flight difference off the shelf but with time I feel neutron gets more surface wear and essentially makes the discs slower (+glide)r. The proton plastic does not scratch as easily although both are very strong, one just has a different surface resistance. I feel neutron makes for a more true designed flight (which is why we see every new disc come out in this plastic) but its not really better than proton at all just a slightly different feel and how it seasons up.

Its apparent MVP has made strides to differentiate the plastics in feel and I am very glad to see this as the newer neutron is $$$$$$. I actually find it a little less durable which isn't a bad thing at all being my first volt I ever bought when they came out STILL flies like a volt

^^totally.

I'm loving the "Newtron." Early on it was tough to feel a diff between N and P, like, N was just opaque P, but now there's a definite difference.

There were softer N discs out there but much harder to find and come across. MY FR volt is so damn hard im not even sure its legal lol.

After about 2.5 seasons with anodes as my putter they may be out. I'm loving the feel in the hand of the envy and the added stability with my putting style is banging chains. I love how this pulls out of a small anny release and flexes back quickly. Makes it easy to range for me. Off the tee it speaks for itself. I knew my anode days were numbered when I first held this in my hand and after a couple hundred putts in the yard I can all but ditch my stack of anodes. I'll keep one in for longer putts, but a lighter envy could do that as well. Very nice disc and I see it becoming my new favorite disc.

I have to get an Envy as soon as possible..

I bought my Anodes in December 2013 and the rounded inner edge wasn't a problem but now I hate it. I already sold two and I still have other two left but they're gonna go. Envy sounds like a perfect disc for me.

Is anyone seeing a difference in stability between different weights?
I have a N 171, and I really like this disc, and I am wondering if I should get a lighter one (to replace my opto pure), and heavier one to maintain the extra stability.
Or are they about the same across the board.

Threw an envy only round today and man this thing blew my mind. Dropped it 330 in a crow wind dead nuts straight. Fought the wind and just rode out! Also put it to about 320 on a different hole which for me breaking 300 with a putter is rare. But I can out everything into the envy and it just goes straight with a reliable fade. Shot 1 stroke better against my full bag as well. As I adjust for putting with it, I am loving it more and more. I prefer a hyzer spin laser type of putt and this is great for my style.

Wish I could have went.. I did get some field work in.. How was the wind?

I took my proton envy out for my first round with it today and parked the first hole I used it on and ACED the next hole. Only my second ace ever. This disc just feels great in my hand and flies awesome. My two new favorite discs are the proton envy and the neutron alias.

I have a N 176 white that i see increased HSS with. Use it for windy tee shots, windy approaches, and main putter. It feels noticably heavier in the hand than my N 172 orange and N 164 orange, and i like that. The N 172 is my main approach disc with effortless distance; point and shoot as it beats. The N 164 is absolutely the lightest in the hand, does not like wind, little less HSS, and is great with finesse left to right and flex approaches, as well as low power hyper flip drives. All have same LSS.

Picture or video or it didn't happen! Lol! Congrats on your second ace with my new favorite disc!
