Shortest holes ever

Have to use tennis shoes though because any type of cleats or nubs might catch on those deep grooves.

Disc-O and Solomon,

Again, read post 97 (of this thread). Rutgers # 9 is 104 feet (give or take a foot). Not 57, not somewhere in the 80's.

ST,

Because I'm kind of new here (<20 posts opposed to a bazillion) and didn't know I even COULD do such (or if it's in my "rights" to do so)!

I've presented the "powers that be" (at Rutgers) with the new data; they're working on updating the course (which is a LOT more important than updating some MB db). After that, maybe they'll update "other things".

Short Holes list updated

I updated the list of Short holes and finally changed the length of Rutgers U hole 9.

I also moved some pages around so the Short Holes page is now found here.

P.S.- Karl, welcome to DGCR and thanks for your work measuring Rutgers! One of the great things about DGCR is that anybody can update course information. You just need to log in separately to the main course home.

There's a bunch of short holes at Peak's View Park in Lynchburg, and the shortest is 120. It's easy to deuce, possible to ace, simple to par, and bogeys happen here and there.

Beth Schmidt Park in Elon or Burlington, NC is all under 100' but one hole. However, it's on a day-care facility.

Young's Run (Warren, Ohio) Original Course #5 was 79 foot. One player shot an 11 in a tournament refusing not to lay-up, going strong with many bad breaks. Basket sits on a steep slope.

And that steep slope has a nice drop off behind it with a creek right behind it, now hole 5's short tee is 143 ft. 3 other short holes on the course would be:
Hole 8 (short Tee) 108ft. Straight ahead a little bit of elevation and a big hill on the left with plenty of trees and branches to tangle you up.
Hole 11 127 ft of straight with two punishing trees just to left before the basket.
Hole 14 183 ft of straight in, trees on both sides, open ceiling and a cat tail/marsh about 10ft wide and 30ft long in the middle of the fairway.

Short to short at Carroll Marty DGC in Ames, IA is about 80'. I think that sleeve as been empty since the first year it was in.

Danger found this one.

U sure that's not the next tee and he's just putting from the tee by chance. Pic is worth it for the deep baskets though. What kind r they?

88' at the Hogback Course in North Augusta, SC. There was a ravine you had to shoot over, but if you made it to the other side you were fine.

I am indeed putting from a lie that happened to land on a nearby teepad.

FYI lol.

I don't care enough to dig up the picture, but hole 3 at Conejo Valley YMCA is pretty pathetic. Probably 50 feet or so.

Portland Adventist Elem. School
hole #5 is like 60 ft.

The basket is strait in front of you.
The whole course is really short
