What DG company would you work for?

I have been listening to DG Answerman Episodes on youtube with Emac and Cool Daddy Slick Breeze. After listening to a few of their episodes, I feel that this company would be awesome to work for because:

1) the DD team seems down to earth and fun
2) DD is very family friendly and what I mean by that is they seem to be all about a drug free environment
3) DD is very community oriented

This is what I get from what limited exposure I get from watching and listening to things online.

What would tip the scale for me personally for picking this company is the family friendly part of it and the community friendliness.

FYI...this is a forum, for talking and expressing opinions, some people seem to troll on some of the discussions and ask what is the point of it? well, maybe if you ask what is the point of this thread, maybe you should ask yourself if this thread is for you

None of them. I don't think any DG company can afford to pay what I would consider an acceptable salary.

good point. how about if money in this case wasn't an issue and you wanted to work for DG company?

While working for a DG company would probably be fun, I can't imagine there would be any money in it. It would be ok for a young kid just starting out, but if you have a family/kids to support it just wouldn't be feasible...

I think I would go for dd as well. Then again, whichever company paid the best would win.

Maybe I should have included if money wasn't an issue, a little unrealistic, but the idea was to isolate what company would you work for if money really wasn't an issue...what appeals to you if you catch my drift

There are def. people supporting a family comfortably and working in Disc Golf. Now I don't know what hammer makes and I could easily see many people on here making more money than the average Disc Golf Company employee. But if you are not working in the warehouse there is a living to made at a few companies for sure.

I agree, but I really haven't seen or heard of many companies that encourages a drug freeness if you know what I mean. Many do support family, but maybe my idea of a family friendly environment is a drug free environment.

Anyway, there is no right answer to this question, just fun talk and see what others think about other companies and if you want a particular product, so be it or getting discounts for employees might sway some. all fun

The problem with that scenario is that money is always an issue. It's the number one reason people get jobs in the first place. But for the sake of argument, let's say I'm a trust fund kid who will never really need the money and just wanted something to do and decided that working for a DG company was it. I would probably go with Innova because of the great history and the possibility of running into some of the greatest players in the game.

None. Even if money was not an issue. Making discs sounds like monotonous factory work to me. Sales and/or company rep is something that I've always been horrible at. There isn't one job I would want unless it meant getting paid to play...yeah like that's ever going to happen to me.

Any of them/all of them! And money's why.. I spend so much on plastic already, so if I could make discs, test them, use them all fo free?! Sign me up :) I think it would be fun (and probably a lot of work). Good for the soul!

Cheers!

Let me think about this for a second. Which one....

After reading Hammer's post I think he's right. The money is probably not there. Unless I was part owner and got more of the lion's share. Or it would make a SICK second job!

Lulz at a drug free environment. At my job, smoking is banned. Dozens of people still smoke...on the job. :|

I was not speaking to the claim of family friendliness but only to the statements that no one is making a decent living in the industry. But I can say that I have been to Innova East many, many times and I can assure you that that company is as wholesome and family friendly as they come. It truly has a family owned and operated feel to it for sure because that is what it is. The guys that run that business day to day are salt of the earth good people. One of them posts on here quite often as well.

Money aside, I'm not sure there are any DG companies that can really offer me work that I would find interesting.
