Discraft needs to step their game back up'

I've never thrown a Mantis or a Roach -- the AR Heats I still have and bag one of them. And I don't follow the collectibility of discs but I'm salivating just looking at the clear mini Buzzz! That's one sexy little piece of plastic!!! ;)

Hey MJ, I'll trade you my other AR Heat for a clear 6" mini Buzzz and a black dg cap :)

Is that a weiner dog on the stamp? Ha ha, okay.

That disc's profile reminds me a lot of the Impact, which would have been a perfectly fine disc had they ever made any that weren't FLX gummy.

You're implying that Discraft somehow has intentionally slighted people?

They have always done it this way.

I'm saying it's a tired idea that's less appealing than what other companies are doing.

Not really, if you are comparing the MVP circuit thing it's entirely different format, Aces Races were designed for fun and to appeal to all skills levels, that circuit thing is more of a rip off of the Trilogy Challenge where you use all the discs in more of a regular round. I'd also say it's not a tired idea since you can say "Discraft" and even the beginner/casual players have at least heard of them, start mentioning MVP, Trilogy, or Prodigy and they wouldn't know the difference between that or Quest, Aerobie, Franklin.

Mantis, Heat, Roach

And the winner, beating out the Sinus for "worst named disc" is........... THE ROACH!!!!

I will throw in my $0.02 and say that I like Discraft, but I dont throw much of it because it is not available to buy in a store locally.

The local Dunham's always carried Innova and Discraft, but I stopped in yesterday and they had no Discraft discs. Looks like they were replaced with DD molds and even more Innova.

No, the WORST belongs to Vibram....420 anyone .

That was just plain stupid.

I use discs from practically every company, they all have their strengths. My biggest love for Discraft is their "Z" plastic. I think it is the most durable plastic available, period! But that's just my opinion, others will vary.

How about this new Prototype Driver? Its from AM WORLDS just 2 weeks ago. Its a disc similar to the Trespass but maybe a tick slower more control and wide diameter. Its like a Discraft Crank and a Innova Starfire mix...if that makes sense. and honestly it might be a huge hit.

"Discraft needs to step their game back up"

Do all of you just need new plastic as opposed to good plastic?

A SurgeSS-OS perhaps?

Retooled flash

Anyone try the new Jawbreaker plastic yet?

One of my buddies had a Jawbreaker challenger at leagues last night. It looks great in real life but it's not as rubbery/vibram-y as I was expecting.

First of all, it's pretty stiff. Even in >90°F heat it was pretty firm...almost as stiff as a KC pro aviar is at that temp.

Second of all, it was really slippery...almost felt oily. It was fingerprinty in the way that some old run Z/9x plastics are, but not nearly as grippy. This might have been the plastic "sweating out" some components due to the aforementioned heat. Still, for a plastic that has been advertised as very grippy, this was a big disappointment to me. I thought that scuffing it up with some dirt/sandpaper might help to get some grip, but my friend wasn't willing to scratch up his new disc just yet, so not 100% sure.
