So i was at idlewild and there were two groups. us and another. the other group had a huge bulldog with them. i went ahead to putt mine while the rest of my group discussed something. I lay down my mini and get ready to putt. i then see the bulldog and it charges me. i run back with my group thinking it was going to attack cause it looked pretty anger. though it was friendly and the owner came to get it. after he goes back we hear chains and we think somebody made a long shot.

There is only one road in and out to the park where my home course is "River Grove Park in Kingwood, TX. There is a small bridge right before you get into the park. Back in April, on a Sunday afternoon, the bridge collapsed, trapping, cars, boats, and disc golfers in the park. They had to dump loads of rocks in the hole to get the cars out. It took till October to get the bridge fixed and the park and course back open again, Here is a pic of the damage:

They had to fill in a creek to get the boats out

The park has a boat ramp, as well as a soccer field, play grounds, and fishing piers right off the river. Its a very busy park.

I was on hole 11 at Mc Dade yesterday. The basket for #10 is about 40ft from the tee for #11. There is a huge pine tree about 20ft in front of the tee you have to throw around, and by the marks, it looks like this tree has been hit about 500 times.

I usually don't hit the tree, but I grip locked my DX Wraith, and threw it right at the tree. The disc, bounced off at a 90 degree angle, and headed right for the #10 basket. It missed it by inches. We all said that it would have been pretty cool if it had landed in the basket. I had never seen a disc do something like that before.

At a local course yesterday, an official looking person came up to my group and sternly asked us if we "smoke dope on the course." We respectfully said no, and he said "Damn, I'm dry. Thanks anyways!"

Black ace. You'd have owed $5 to everyone on your card.

A buddy of mine threw a black ace before he had even gotten a regular ace. I told him he was now 1 in the hole and his first ace would bring him back to 0. Then I signed his disc '!ecA kcalB eciN'.........he was not amused.

This happened on the practice field yesterday, but it still is strange:

I was at my practice field working on drives and I had my basket set up at the 200ft mark. I threw a DX Valk, and it started heading straight for the basket. I thought it was going to hit the chains, but it hit just on top, and hit the metal part that holds the flag (In Step basket). The disc came to a complete stop, and just sat there on the top of the basket. I was shocked that a disc coming in that fast, could stop on a dime like that. I thought it would bounce off or something, but I guess the basket some how absorbed the shock of the hit. I had never seen anything like that before.

I really didn't notice till I walked up there. It looked like the disc was still on top, but I didn't think that could have happened. When I walked up to get my throws, I was shocked to see it still sitting on top of the basket.

That is pretty crazy for sure! I had a drive that hit the top center pole of a discatcher basket, not the yellow band but right in the center like yours it sounds like, but it skipped off.
