it makes me wanna puke anytime someone writes something so idiotic.
Jussi isn't hating on woods courses, just that they are terrible to use for major tournaments. To change disc golf into a sport where we play for other peoples(sponsors, spectators) money instead of our own, we need spectators.
The real question here is that is it worth butchering the degree of difficulty of our marquee events in the name of chasing spectators (and therefor sponsorship dollars) that may not even show up anyway? Keep in mind that the Ledgestone Open last year raised the largest disc golf purse in history without any real draw for the "big dollar sponsors" everyone assumes are needed for big payouts.
It is possible to have spectator friendly courses that aren't wide open hyzer fests. WR jackson (mostly, there are a small number of problem holes), the courses used at the Scandinavian Open and European Open last year, Milo McIver (and really the whole 2014 Worlds set up) just off the top of my head.
The combining thread between all those courses is they are wooded with big trees and wide fairways. Plenty of room for spectators but enough trees to force players to hit a specific line. They're really the best of all worlds.
/end rant. Sorry for the thread drift.
