So, how did you play today? Part II

Steady plus one round on the East Roswell shorts with Jgilletted4 this afternoon. Solid tee shot on two on anhyzer maybe 16-18 deep with an MVP Reactor and one killer forehand maybe 20 left on seventeen with an Axiom Defy. Josh had the 30ft putter working really well. Good company and good air made for an excellent afternoon.

Probably was a terrible idea but I had just enough time to hobble around the local 9 holer tossing various Frisbees with an unhappy Achilles tendon from bowling 2 weeks ago.

Yo broken brother!!! Kick it like you suck and I defy you to tell me it's not still fun!

Better than playing apex with 12yr olds....I declined my round today, dog was feeling pukey, I had a hot tub instead.... Nothing but me and trees for at least 1000'. Swimsuits are for suckers!

*and you have like 25 seconds to get them off.. Minus by 5 seconds for every 5 degrees below 10+ it is.... Don't bother with the math if it's zero degrees C you got like 15 seconds before numbing sets in. Almost a minute if yur nekked

Shot an unofficial 968 and ended up winning MA1. Didn't feel like I did anything crazy, but played smart, minimized errors and made some putts.

And crushed some forehands.

Had some fun at the local pitch and putt course. it was 5 degrees, sunny, no wind and I was the only one on the course. I played most of the round with by big honking mittens on and actually ended up hitting a few 20 foot putts.

Got two rounds in on Saturday, first round was doubles league, didn't shoot great but I did pick up a few CTP's and made some money. In the afternoon I played a different course and on a course I know I can easily shoot double digits, I only managed -5. It was bogey free, though.

Yeah I am a slacker. It was only 13 deg F when we started our sunrise round on Sunday. Two rounds and 3 hours later it got up to 20 deg F. Minimal wind and very dry before the storm so it wasn't too bad.

Without footing in sloppy mud/snow, I am using lots of forehand hyzer flips and turnovers with understable discs. Putting with bad footing I can't remedy… losing 3-5 strokes.

Got out yesterday, for a birthday round with my little dude and a crew of players from the Disc Buddy App! Played in the snow and had an interesting round of Find Your Disc! With a handicap that was reasonably high I shot -5 for an 18 hole course. Super cool and an awesome way to celebrate a birthday.

Tried some new Ds, threw terrible, walked off after 9.

... I'll get 'em next week.

Threw a beautiful flip to flat 275' ace…. to the wrong basket. Ugh.

The baskets for holes 7 and 16 were about 80' apart. Threw a powered down shot with a Warship thinking it would hold a gentle hyzer to the basket but instead it popped up and beelined straight into the wrong basket.

They call that a black ace.

I almost got a gray ace once - into a trash can from the tee....but it bounced out.

Played Dretzka Park's winter layout and when I mean played I mean went through the motions until I realized I was back at my car in the parking lot.

Really can't wait for my Gstar plastic discs to come in so I at least have something to throw that won't slip out of my hands even when I'm wearing gloves.

dang! Thanks for correcting me. I thought a trash can was a gray ace (because trash cans are historically gray) and Port-a-John's are brown aces (for obvious reasons).

These are they terms as I use them;

Black ace- on the wrong basket from a different hole
Grey ace- right hole but wrong basket(holes with two baskets)
Brown ace- trash can/port a john

Not today, but Saturday night, drew a good partner for putting league and we took it down from the loser's bracket. I'm 17-5 with my various partners in matches so far this year and usually the oldest guy there by 15 years. Good thing there isn't a "driving league."

(We putt twice each from 30 feet, alternating like innings in baseball. One point for one good putt, three points if you hit both. First to 21 wins, gotta win by 2. Final round at 25 feet on a Marksman, losers' bracket winner has to beat the unbeaten team twice. Usually a couple dozen people there. Marwede showed up a few times two years ago (no league due to Covid in 2020) of course when I wasn't there.)

Couldn't hit water from a boat. Cold, clear, gorgeous morning though after a week of rain.

Had one of my best night of glow golf ever. Got two CTPs including an ace, which was my first skip ace and first glow ace.

My partner and i shot -17 and we went to a 4 way sudden death playoff. We ended up winning on the 5th hole against three very good teams.

Pretty good night.
