Will the Valkyrie Kid hit 1,000 played?

I need to fly into a city where I can bag like 50-80 courses in a week, Im going to look this up for next year. Sounds like it could be fun. Ive knocked out 8-10 Chicago little courses to while waiting for flights. totally understand that.

No Lion,

Stick to California and the wide open spaces where you have to drive 85 miles up a dirt road to bag a YMCA summer camp course. You've got a few more to hit in Cali. Leave these Chicago 9'ers to me. I like em!

Her Mr. Lion,

I offer up these course rich cities with courses listed with 50 miles:

Dallas, TX 65 courses

Cincinnati, OH 56 courses

Indianapolis, IN 52 courses

Charlotte, NC 81 courses

Houston, TX 60 courses

Downers Grove, IL (just west of Chicago) 106 courses with 50 miles

Gosh, I don't know. I'd like to make it someplace special but I'm not really thinking about that trip yet. gotta get a little closer.

Looks like its been a busy summer VK. Since you only have 11 courses left, have you decided on your 4-digit milestone course yet? Or at least the area where you will be?

Don't keep us hanging!!

Hope you got home safely from this trip east.
...and yep, ideas, plans, etc for course #1000, then (amazing!) review #1000 (a little further down the road)?

Wisconsin?

VK maybe Wisconsin? Only 3 courses played here. We have many good courses in many different areas of the state. Come check it out.

Congratulations! You have already reached 1000 played if you count the unlisted courses you have played. Also a giant thank you for taking the time to write all those reviews.

Another entertaining review by The VK on Walrond Park in VA. Especially the OT where he lists everything he has ever thrown into, onto and over, including "cows, sheep and assorted other farm animals" !

So, he's still at 994 and seems to be working his way through a few niners in VA.

Keep going VK and keep writing those reviews!! :hfive:

Going to hit # 1000

Hi fellow disc golfers,

Needing 6 more to hit 1000, I'm flying into LA this Sunday and driving my new, used car home. My lovely wife will accompanying me on this short trip. We will take about 5 days and drive my Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible up the entire California coast (Highway 1). That's a pretty cool way to cruise up the coast.

As for course # 1000 being special, I don't think it's going to work out that well. Coyote Point @ Lake Casitas is an awesome course and on the way BUT I've already played it. Birds of Paradise is maybe the top course in Cali BUT it's too far north and DeLaveaga in Santa Cruz is epic and legendary and right on the way BUT I've played it. Plus with my wife along, I don't really want to play a course that takes 2 1/2 hours. So # 1000 will be whichever rec course is # 6 in line on this drive.

Thanks for all the interest and I still have a few reviews to write from the last trip.

Have a safe drive home, look forward to reading your reviews:)

Gratz The Valkyrie Kid !! Think it is amazing what your doing.

There is a part of me, and I expect most married, middle age men with kids (and some women too, like my wife probably ;) ), that just wants to drop everything, drive off into the sunset playing "Born to be Wild" and do something crazy - like play every Disc Golf course I can before I die..keep the dream alive ;)
