Given the meager evidence, it's hard to know who did what. I don't know that Innova abused anyone. I know they pumped a lot of resources into the sport, clearly with the understanding that would pay off. Discraft has done the same.
I agree with those who surmise that Prodigy's business model was flawed. In a sport, still early in it's growth, going big is risky. Giving ownership to players in a sport that contracts year to year is very risky. However, it isn't clear to me that they dutched their players. I don't know what the contract was, but if it was volume based, their players haven't gotten what they wanted, from the ruminations here. The possiblity exists that they met with their pros and told them it was okay to go looking, given it wasn't paying what they thought it would.
PP is a tough one. Typically, problem athletes are obvious. PP has been nothing but professional until this. Even here, for the most part, she's been professional. Yeah I read the posts about the SB interview and admit I didn't see it. That wasn't bright, but it is a singular event and I'm not gonna condem her for it. DD, by my measure, is the best run operation out there right now. They strike me as very savvy. I'd bet money they thought long and hard about this and I'm gonna bet they make it work.
Along those lines, Prodigy really should take a gander at DDs business model. They did the whole thing really well IMO. Just an FYI. I'm not salivating DD cause I use their plastic. I don't. I especially dislike their naming system. But their management is good, and I can recognize that without using their product.
