Between my various Roc3's and my C-MD, I have a mid to cover every shot except a turnover. This isn't a shot I throw a lot, but it's bitten me a couple of times when I've needed it. I've tried powering down a Moonshine River, but that makes the angle kinda unpredictable. What's a decent understable mid? For reference, I only throw mids 240-260'. Baseline plastic is OK, and I'm manufacturer agnostic.

I use a ESP Meteor.. . and i use it in the 220-260s. . .fpr me it flies straight with a slow turn to the right at the end.

If you want something that really turns right hard. . try an Archer or Mirage

Have a few Tursas but it has a Sharp edge that almost cut my fingers. .

For shorter turnovers i use the Deputy and longer a Gold line Maul

Wesrside Tursas works ok.

DGA Tremor in proline works well too.

the Westside Tursas is a little less stable than a Warship with a similar hand feel.

DGA Tremor is much less stable even than the Tursas. it flies a nice natural anny with a neutral throw.

Eventually you'll have a beat Roc that will fill that slot. I use a dinged-up DX Roc for very dependable turnovers. If you want something that will fill that slot right now, I'd recommend a Tursas. Easy 250' turnovers right out of the box. A Stingray is probably the classic choice.

I really like the Prodigy M4 - its incredibly available in many weights and plastics and is one of Prodigy's most popular discs - I used to throw a ton of prodigy - now not so much, but the M4 is the one disc I still carry and I think its solid. There really are TONS of options in this category, but - you can't go wrong with an M4 - suggest 170-175g 400G plastic

A lot of good answers already posted above. My contributions to the literature:

Deputy - for shorter turnovers, especially if you like to throw putters (some do, some don't).
Mirage - also good for shorter turnovers.
Mako3 - especially in lighter weights, this'll work well for turnovers. Paul McBeth bags a Mako3 and uses it for turnovers (especially around trees and corners, etc.)
Prodigy M4 - in 400 or 400g plastic, this is an awesome understable disc, possibly one of the best choices out there.
Cobra - especially in baseline plastic, this is a very good disc for turnovers. Rim is not all that comfortable, but is not unlike the Roc3 rim, so is you like that, the Cobra may be your disc.

An no matter what disc it is, you'll need to practice with it to learn and understand how it will fly at different power levels, etc. The turnover shot can be one of the most difficult to master, but once you do, it'll become a powerful weapon in your DG arsenal.

I bag a Deputy and use it for shorter turnovers (up to 240-ish). I'm looking for something to fit between it and my Moonshine River, which is my go-to for 280-300' turnovers.

One of my buddies bags a Mako3, and it flies pretty similar to my MD. Same for the X Comet I had (which I gave to my wife), kinda dead-straight.

Based on what I'm seeing here, I'm leaning toward an Origio Tursas or a DX Stingray.

Since you throw Roc3 get an X Comet. Same feel, different flight. Just getting a DX Roc would work too. Roc3 for dependability, Roc for line shaping, at least in my bag.

Retro Claymore is what I use and love. Tursas for off the shelf flippy. Mako3 and DX Roc3 for something to beat in quicker than what you have.

I have been using 400G M4s for years. I have not found anything that can replace it for perfect understability without burning into rollers. It is my absolute go-to in the woods for effortless hyzerflips, tight tunnels, and turnovers to supplement my weak forehand game. I have stacks of hundreds and hundreds of discs and have not found anything that can match the M4 for me.

I'm guessing my McGlow Roc3 will get there eventually, since I throw it quite a bit and it started off surprisingly less stable than my Champ & G* ones. But in the meantime I need something for those 250-or-so turnover placement & woods shots.
