I'm negotiating with a municipality over taking over a closed golf course and converting it to disc golf. This will be city-owned and be multi-use. They asked me about sharing space with foot golf.

Does anyone here know if there are any disc golf/foot golf courses sharing space? If so, how has it worked out?

The course they used for the San Francisco Open had golf, foot golf and disc golf. Don't know about how its been working out though.

Heritage Trails has foot golf and disc golf but the courses do not overlap. I have never seen anyone playing foot golf so I don't think it would be a problem if they did overlap.

I had never heard of "Foot Golf" before...had to look it up. Two days ago there was a guy behind me using what looked like a softball. He was just throwing it, and then tossing into the baskets. Is that also a sport now?

Soccer is huge in the bedroom community I'm working with. A bond proposal was passed in the recent election to buy this course, and we're working out ways to involve all sorts of outdoor activities. The courses would probably overlap until the masterplan is drawn up and implemented. We will be sharing a very large space.

I was lucky enough to get my foot in the door first and already have approval for a 10k grant to move fwd with this beast.

I remember playing softball golf in elementary school a really long time ago. We threw into tires.

Paducah Mid-Town has a golf/foot golf/disc golf course. 9 holes but you take a soccer ball, a golf club(7-9 iron) and some balls and your discs and have a blast.

There is a par 3 ball golf course that also has foot golf and disc golf near me. They all fit well together although the disc golf is a little boring being only a 9 hole course that is too open and they charge to play i believe $5 a round. So as far as working together sharing space is fine. The disc golf just didn't quite succeed because the ball golf course wouldn't expand to 18 disc golf holes without seeing significant use and my club tried to consult the ball golf course operator that he is competing with our free to play 38 hole course that is probably our best disc golf course in the area and is only 10 mins down the road. No players are willing to pay $5 for a round of 9 holes in a pretty much open course without too much challenge when they can drive down the road just a bit and play our best course for free. So to answer the OP question on whether they can all co-exist on the same property i'd say yes. Just that this particular ball golf course after we told them that they need to have at least 18 holes and that the other 9 needed to be more challenging (they have woods surrounding the ball golf course that could accommodate the other 9) or the would not be able to compete against our 38 hole free to play disc golf course, they didn't listen. I played the ball golf 9 a few times while trying to help them and make suggestions but haven't been back in 3 years.

I haven't seen it, but having played both I think they could coexist. There could of course be some tension but with a good layout you could do well.

I have never played a disc golf / foot golf combo, but a couple ball golf courses I have played had foot golf, and it was stupid as hell. I have seen a grand total of two groups of foot golfers over the course of dozens of rounds, and my golf ball has landed inside the foot golf hole a couple times. (yes I suck at ball golf)

I just don't see the appeal. Oh well.

Windy hill in Richmond has all 3 going on. No issues that i know of- i don't think it gets much play from either traditional golf or foot golf.

I've seen a few groups playing foot golf at Mt Airy and Lincoln Ridge just using the baskets as their hole. It is rather funny watching someone try to kick a soccer ball up into the basket with a big hill right behind it...:D

I'm pretty sure that is what people are referring to when they say "ball golf."

Fiesta lakes in Mesa, AZ has a PTP combo course. Memorial DGPT used it in 2017.

It seems like with enough space, both could be on the same site and not have much overlap or risk of interference.

I'm not familiar with foot golf, but it seems like it might lend itself naturally to relative flat, open spaces (relative to disc golf) so you might be able to break up the terrain in ways that are ideal for both sports.

There is a course in Chanute Kansas that has both and they are on an defunct ball golf course. They don't play to the same green but use the same fairways and teeing area. The disc golf course is 4.5 rated on this site. I played disc golf and was the only person on the course.

Evergreen flyway in Baytown near Houston, Tx is a prime example of a great frolf course co existing with a foot golf course on an old ball golf course. Texas state championships used this course in 2017 I believe. Would definitely recommend looking at how they play near each other but not on top and then split a part.

Can see zero issues with this when actual ball and disc golf courses are a thing. That logistically is much more difficult from all aspects to maintenance and flow of play etc.
