[Recommend] What are your go-to overstable control (speed 9-10) drivers?

Oops, yes I did mean the Axiom Wrath. I should have been more specific!

Thanks all for the recommendations. Looks like I might have to pick up a Felon and FD3. I'm interested in a few others as well

As has been mentioned, the FD3 is harder to find because it's (temporarily?) out of production. Felon is a nice choice. Honestly, many/all of these discs are interchangeable.

Latest run of QOLF is great, flies 9/5/0/2. SOLF and MOLF probably would overlap with the Wrath looking at the flight numbers.

I'll throw the I-Blend Scepter in the recommendation mix as well. Not a ton of glide but does go further than my champ plastic firebirds. Might be the cheapest Sexton FB like flight you can get in a decent plastic.

My friend really likes the DD Evader which may hit the mark as well. Good availability and somewhat consistent runs.

Westside Longbowman for me.

I was really wanting to try one of those but can't find them anywhere.

To answer the original question a Raptor may be what you're looking for. I lost mine and replaced it with a really beefy Thunderbird I got as an F2 freebie but I would have ordered up another one otherwise.

I was going to recommend a starfire when I thought you were saying you used wraiths as your primary driver haha. I throw wraiths for my main drivers, valkyries for a straight fairway, and starfires for an overstable fairway

Firebird baby. Still haven't found a disc that matches this one.

I'm looking for something with a bit more overstability than my Wraths, but not as overstable as a Firebird. The shot I'm trying to fill is something that can be put on a distance flex line. Any recommendations?

How far are you throwing your Wraths, and in what weights/plastics?

I've got a 172g proton that I've been beating in for a few years and a newer 174g neutron for slightly more overstable shots. I'm throwing them between 340-385'. The proton will stand up and give me some turn before fading back and the neutron will stand up to flat and ride straight a long way before fading. If I put either on a flex line, they wouldn't come back (at least not a lot).

We throw Wraths for similar distances. I like the Protons, but they are basically the same as my Neutrons in flight. I'm having trouble finding anything under the MVP umbrella between the Wrath and Fireball. Granted, that shot doesn't come up often, but for a 350' shot into a stout headwind, the Fireball is too short, and the Wrath is not OS enough. I've used both the Tsunami and Raptor for that slot before, and may have to go back to one of them.

Undertaker for me but in specific plastics for OS runs, First run Z is my go-to but if I need even more OS then 2020 Ledgestone Cryztal sparkle which is essentially just as OS as a Raptor but glides a bit more, max weight for both. Those are two of the more OS runs of 'Takers out there and they tend to be on the flatter side.

This is 100% correct. And also one of the reasons I stopped messing around with Undertakers. They were all over the place stabilitywise with the ones I tried.

Yeah they're a trip to pick through and find the right ones but the amount of plastics they're made in makes for one mold that can cover every fairway slot I need, I believe there are 7 stock plastics plus 3-5 special runs like Glo, Sparkle, Swirl, etc. leads to owning two dozen+ of the same mold in 8 different plastics haha.

Top left QOLF is almost Firebird stable, flys just like an FD3 imo

My stock Z flew true to the numbers. My ESP is Thunderbirdish. Cryztal sparkle is stupid OS lol. I'll revisit the Z for snow glow rounds shortly. I liked that one but it's kinda squirrelly. Good disc for sure. Would like more consistent production runs. I throw Roadrunners now. Cheaper and more consistent. And I'm getting old 😁

I joke that the 2020 tour Z Gannon I gave to my buddy is called an Overtaker, and not an Undertaker. It flies basically like a Teebird.

That's how my First run Z's are, very stable even thrown hard into moderate winds. Faster than a Teebird though, Easily a 9/5/0/2.

I'm actually kind of monitoring this thread because the Thunderbirds I like have been hard to find. Really interested in an MVP competitor bc I like light (160ish) Thunderbirds and I know MVP does a lot of lightweight stuff
