The US Women's Disc Golf Championships are in Madison, WI June 30-July 3.

FPO is playing Token Creek rounds 1 and 2, then Elver for rounds 3 and 4.

I'm pretty excited to see how the best women in the world (except 1) play these courses. I do think there will be some hot scores but the 'birdiefest' they were talking about last year didn't come to fruition, and I don't think it will this year either. The course setups are looking to be about as difficult as the can possibly be to score. They aren't gold level like most DGPT events, but they are solid blue level courses.

Paige Pierce posted last night on Instagram that she lost her favorite Buzzz on hole 18 at Elver and she is offering a $500 reward for its return. (My daughter called this to my attention.) I like my Buzzzes, but... maybe not as much.

I hope someone who really needs the money can be the one to find it.

With the average FPO rating at this event being 908, and given the PDGA's guidelines excerpted below, should be plenty hard for good viewing.

Courses should ideally be selected to challenge players based on their current skill level and even one step up in higher tier events. Skill level ranges are defined using PDGA Player Ratings as follows: Gold 970+, Blue 925+, White 875+, Red 825+, Green under 825.

In high-level Pro events, the Gold level criteria should be the primary set of guidelines for the course skill level used for Open & Masters 40+ and Blue level for Pro Women (when possible). At high-level Am events, the Blue level criteria should be the primary design level for top-level Advanced & Advanced Masters 40+ at these events.

MODERATORS NOTE: The "(except one)" comment refers to Kristin Tattar not being in attendance.

That was my understanding, based on the context clues.

What else could it possibly mean?

I'm looking forward to seeing the coverage of this event. Token and Elver are, coincidentally, the only 2 Madison courses I've played.

Two Aces so far :)

That hole is about as soft as they come on tour. Short, with decent size gap, and a nice backstop, but like the rest of Vallarta-Ast, very scenic.

In general I think the scores will be hotter at Vallarta-Ast. Elver has much tighter lines and greater elevation. I think us DGCR folk will enjoy watching Elver better on coverage as well, but Vallarta-Ast is very beautiful.

Ford, LoCastro, and Klein all caddying on the 2nd card. Not sure who's on the bag for Hailey King.

Maybe a dumb question. .but i started to think about it. . .

Is it really good to have a caddie that is better than you?

Yes, thank you. I didn't even realize how that could be misconstrued. I just didn't want to make the entire conversation about Kristin, even though she's my favorite FPO player to watch.

I don't think it's about how good or bad a caddie is at their own game. It's more important that they understand their player's game, and the course(s), and how well they can synthesize those things to give their player good advice.

And, you know, carry discs around.

That's why I can never find someone bad enough.

Lol!

Current PDGA member and everything I try as per PDGA &DGN instructions I can't play. Any ideas?

PDGA says members can watch certain tourneys free w/o a DGN subscription. USWDGC in one. I'm following all the instructions to take advantage of this PDGA perk but can't make it work. Wondering if others on here are PDGA members and figured this out.
