[Innova] The mythical Innova ROC

For the price I paid I am happy. Didn't realize that Pat #'s are still on the Rocs, either way no plus mold, not sure if those are showing up on the dx too like was mentioned earlier about the KC Pros.

Not that I have seen, but I also havent seen any KC Rocs with plus molds. But the Rancho is the only currently run roc with ratent numbers on it.

I've got dx rocs that have the plus type rim. The marshall st one is dx and it has that rim. So I've got dx and kc rocs with the plus rim.

someone asked about orange kc rocs along with yellows . . . GGGT re-upped after i bought them out and they've got an orange one. it feels like garbage dx, waxy and flexible.

sample size of one.

Well poop. I bought a yellow KC Pro Roc 176g and a yellow DX Roc 170 and used them 4 rounds this weekend. The problem is I don't want to throw anything else. What am I going to do with my other 64 midranges? :(

Thanks for the tip on getting yellow. The yellow KC Pro plastic is way more grippy than the white KC Pro Aviar I tried and the yellow DX is holding up great. Comparing the profiles, neither one is flat and the tops above the PL are the same. On the KC Pro the rim slants in directly below the PL, while on the DX the rim is more blunt before slanting in. Strange if they're coming from the same mold but this makes the KC Pro more overstable. KC on right.

I'm going to resist buying any more Rancho Rocs until XT is released for retail. I'm betting that one will be my dream mid.

nice profile pics! why waiting on the xt vs. throwing dx and kc pro?

i'm going into hoard mode right now with the yellow kc, myself. wanna build a stack i'll never have to worry about running out of.

You're going to need a storage unit! :D

I'm just waiting to sample an XT Roc before going into whored mode. See what I did there? About the rim slant, these are really slanted.

Is the DX and San Marino or Ontario by chance

I have some KC Flat Tops that have plus type rims.

I've always assumed that the rim gets pushed out a little when they flatten the top.

I flattened a KCP Roc once. It turned out FAF with an extra plus rim. I agree that the rim changes when the top is flattened.

I would agree just by looking at the molds I have carried in varying degree of plh. I usually wind up plussy when I stumble upon a superflat variant of a disc, which usually indicates higher plh. Usually.

I think everyone is spot on about the yellow KCs that are out there. Found 2 of them today and both have a little dome and high PLH. They should be great bookend Roc.

My most beat KC broke today. Cracked flightplate. Odd because it is about 65 today. I don't have another quite the same. Guess I will have to drop a Comet back in until I get another where my fallen soldier was.

That sucks, was it an 11timer? How long did you have it? 65 is pretty warm to bust a disc. Tree smash or cage blast?

Ya does suck. Sometimes they do a lot of times no. Usually I ask for bright colors only and they have done a good job so far.

Last time I bought 8-10 kc pro rocs, they sent mostly yellow and white, but a few of the white were ridiculously speckled with black, they looked horrible. I know it's a f2, but it was bad. haha

p.s. I had a dream last night my buddy found one of my rocs and gave it back to me while we were walkin around the mall. So weird. I don't even like the mall......in fact I hate it. Gotta love the roc.

I cracked my go-to turnover DX Roc about a month ago (tree smash). It was close to 80 degrees out. Disc wasn't even that old - stamp from 2012, had the plus-feeling rim.

Usually in this case I would find a bubble in the rim but this one was solid. Total bummer. Had 3 aces on it.
