The Three Disc Challenge

beat 175 star Teerex (this disc is very straight and can be stable or flippy depending on snap)
beat dx rancho roc (or star roc) (again useful for several shots)
gumbputt or aviar depending on wind

If it is a calm day, I take my 170 Star Wraith, Champion TeeBird, and Champion Rhyno... If it is a little windy, I take my Star Destroyer, Buzzz, and Rhyno...

i couldnt do it i tried but just couldnt rule out the last disc should i pick a putter or not or a more all around disc what would yall throw for 1 disc challenge? id throw 170 jls

my three would be my 174 boss for distance or a big hyzer, 175 champion valkyrie, and my 174 #2 upshot to putt(all 3 are tye dye too lol)

If I could only choose one, it would be my 175 valkyrie for sure i can make that disc do just about anything i want it to

Putter: 171 Pro-D Banger-GT
Mid: 180 DX San Marino Roc
Driver: 174 Star Firebird (backhand, sidearm)

If I had to choose one, it would be a 171 ESP Banger-GT. I can make this disc do anything, and the plastic holds-up well. I can also putt with it.

Flx Avenger
Soft Challenger
Crystal Buzzz
if i had to play with one disc it would be my star orc, i have one that i use for night play and it has an led mounted in it but still flies almost the same. i just got used to using it all the time for putts, drives, and approaches.

Here is a fun challenge. You get to the course, and you are told , because of new rules, you can only take 3 disc from you bag to the course to play with. What 3 discs would you choose?
It depends on the course... but for a general well balanced course:

  • Star TeeRex
  • Champ Sidewinder
  • soft Pro Rhyno
ERic

Pretty much on any course, this is what I'd take:

- 168g Champion Starfire
- 175g Star Cro
- 175g Supersoft Magic

These are the three discs I use mostly anyway, so it wouldn't be to big of a deal just playing with these. Although, I would miss my Star TL for flicks.

For my home course:
my Champ TL
My star gator
my blowfly

My Gator and my blowfly are mostly "go-to" discs on my home course anyway...my TL is primarily my thumber disc, but works well forehand and backhand for me.

175 - Innova Star Wraith
171 - Innova Champion Sidewinder
175 - Discraft Elite-X Stratus - this disc does everything else. ;)

Most courses
Innova 168 Star Wraith
Discraft 175 X Buzz
DGA 174 BlowFly
Shorter courses would take out the Wraith and replace with
DGA 169 ProLine Squall

Champion boss - distance driver
dx roc - all around
pro pig - p&a

I guess now that I think about it, I carry 20 discs and only need (or use) 3!

Polecat
Stratus
Surge

Can drive with all three, which is nice if you lose one during the round and have to finish with 2.
It would be interesting to see totals...

+Pro Beast
+Old Champion Beast to throw across water
+Pro D Challenger

This isn't hard when you're 62, play to have fun, and don't want things too confusing.
