I'm done.

Eeek. No dislocation here.

I also want to clear up that the caddying sucked...the course was the most incredible thing I have ever seen!

What kind of pain are we talking here? Stinging, dull, any numbness in your fingers or what not? If there's any numbness you could have damaged your ulnar nerve and that would not be good. Tendons and ligaments attach your muscles to the periosteum(outer layer of bone). Excessive damage to ligament attachment areas can lead to ossification ( bone growth) which gives you some funky looking bones that don't move too well. That's all I can tell you, I'm an Anthropology major, not a doctor.

Had this around Christmas... It was gone in two weeks with ibuprofen, rest and then stretching. I didn't want to say anything until you said you could raise it with the "chicken wing". That's good... here's what the doc gave me...

Deep elbow pain (brachialis tendonitis) 7-10 days of rest, ice massage (as described above) and strengthening the biceps by bicep curls and reverse bicep curls (with the palm pointing to the floor) after the rest period seem to alleviate the problem.

Tricep Tendonitis

* Kneeling push-ups - kneel on the floor with your hands directly underneath your shoulder. Slowly lower yourself to the floor and back up. Once you can do 2 sets of 15 without any pain, switch to normal pushups.

* Dumbbell kickbacks - Start with a really light weight and do sets of 20.

* French stretch - Stand with your fingers clasped together and your hands high above your head. Stretch by reaching down behind your head and trying to touch your upper back. Keep your elbow pointing towards the front. Hold this position for 20 seconds or so. Repeat 10 times.

He told me it was a common climbing injury... been climbing out of the creeks?

No creek climbing...your results sound great, but I have had the pain too long to be that hopeful. After I went to the doc I took diclofenac twice a day for a week and had no pain, went and played the icebowl and hurt again...hasnt gone away but hasn't gotten worse until yesterday.

That's too bad...

Go righty for a while... when you do get better, there will be no shot out of trouble you can't handle.

A friend of mine is a lefty, but has to drive with his right arm... he is very straight and consistent at 300 ft plus. He said he was able to perfect his form because he had no bad habits with his off arm.

Very true...other than looking like I should ride the short bus...but I suppose that would go away with practice.

I highly recommend an Impact if you are gonna go with the off arm. When my tendinitis flared up (my arm hurt so bad, it hurt just to let it dangle at my side) my Impact was the only disc I could any decent distance with left-handed. Hell, I'll even trade you mine.

Driving lefty (or whatever) isn't too bad after a while if you have good x step mechanics, but the finesse game (putting and upshots) is so much harder.

Dude, sorry to hear about the injury. Take some time off, go to the doctor, and hopefully all will be well after some R&R. Keep us posted.

Drumroll please....

Rotator cuff tendonitis/impingement

Got a fat daddy cortisone shot, if not better in 2 weeks then PT, if not better in 4 then MRI.

Even if you feel better going through the PT exercises would be a good idea. Give it a little longer break from DG and strengthen the muscles also. Just hope it's not torn. Only way to tell is the MRI, which costs $$ and no one wants to do unless you demand it. Good luck.

I know...I should call and say I need some...haha.

I really don't...I get to liking them too much too fast.

had the same problem during high school baseball, did PT for the whole season and didnt miss a game and never had any pain. you would be surprised

Ive got exercises to do and such but he told me to work on being able to get it above my head before really getting into those.

Good luck and hopefully a little rest and PT can fix you up. Keep a good thought.

And the hell with loratabs or any of that other hillbilly heroin. I'm sure Apothecary will agree with me the best pain medicine is something you smoke. I know it works for me. It doesn't always take the pain away but it always makes me smile and feel better in a general sense.

Some of us have to get our jollies through legal means...even if it is worse for you.
