I've been away from the forum for a while so I apologise for any redundancy. Who has thrown the Teebird Plus and what are your thoughts? How does it compare to a teebird and does it feel good in hand?
Thanks in advance.
Andy

This Teebird also comes with a slanted inner rim...This doesn't bother me, but some people hate it.

The "+" discs (both Teebird & Roc) feature a sloping rim wall instead of square. The angle where the flightplate meets the rim wall of the wing is obtuse instead of right, resulting in a "beefier" (and many would say uncomfortable) feel.

IMHO, they feel completely alien & nearly ungrippable in the hand, so much so that one would have to fly into the basket every time, come to rest, then levitate up & magically fly back to me, lovingly tickle my tween, and gently nestle back into its rightful place in my bag for me to even remotely consider putting one in the bag.

I am interested to see how this one pans out. I myself am not fond of the slanted rim. I feel like I have done too many repetitions. Too much practice, too much play, with the standard rim to go changing it up now.

So I will probably have a champ teebird + in the marketplace soon!

I use a power-grip on drivers & mids. Lost my old TB the first round at the Glass Blown Open. Got a T-Bird + between rounds and started to use it that day. No problems to report.

Yikes! More overstable than a regular TeeBird? :\ I won one of these last night in league. I was told they were more stable than a regular TeeBird; that's why I picked it up. I hope it's not that extreme otherwise I'll have to find it a new home. I'll take it for a test drive tonight and see how it flies.

Few rims are actually a right angle. Most are a bit obtuse already. Some of Lat 64's discs and the new Innova + discs (Roc&Tbird) are taking this idea to another degree.

The glo teebird plus is noticeably more overstable than a teebird. I have a star teebird and a champ banshee and I find the teebird plus to almost fall in the middle.

I was all hyped up to hate the TeeBird+. I was primed and ready to post about how the grip was terrible and it kept slipping out of my hands, how it was too overstable and flew like a Whippet...what a letdown. The grip really didn't bother me at all. The discs are beefy, but all TeeBirds start out beefy. All in all, I thought they flew a lot like TeeBirds. I'm kinda waiting to see how they break in, but right now it seems like a lot of smoke, no fire.

Methinks it was designed to mimic the feel of a wide-rimmed superdriver for those who have learned the game using those behemoths (or who happen to like that feel). I happen not to like that feel.

Heck, BnC, you can get one of my "wants" in trade for a pack or two of smokes out at the Days Inn on Duluth Hwy.

Ha yeah I know, we had some crane work done and the guys stayed there and commented on how many were out prowling at night....when were you here or do you have hookernet?

It seems you have a unique preference. Light drivers and floppy putters?

I don't notice a differance in grip with the plus.

I use Champ TB's as mainly a fairway driver (Overstable 175g) and I've learned to play the skip to my advantage. I just won a TB + at my last tourney. For me, it's overstable, but doesn't skip as hard at the end, it really sits nicely. I like it. The grip difference is not very noticeable to me.
