I've seen some guys with golf pull carts set up for disc golf!

Huh?

The did not look handicapped, none of them were old, some where a bit overweight...

Why a pull cart?

Do you need that much stuff to have fun?

None of them were good at it, they looked like they were having fun but huh?

Pull cart?

They were all over the place when I was down in Florida. Most had as much or more beer than discs.

I've seen Barry Schultz dragging one around.

If I was hell-bent on going on a tear while I was golfing, I might consider it...for the beer.

Haha! Just had my first day with a cart on Monday.
I'll say the same thing to you guys as my group.... STOP HATIN!
I'm 26and in decent health and shape. A 100 hole day is not uncommon for me. That twice a week plus mourning rounds when I work at night, evening rounds, and glow rounds equal alot of dg. I don't know about you guys, but I plan on discin til I die. Anything I can do to prolong my joints I'm down for. I've also started taking joint soothers twice a year.

So on Monday all I heard was jokes. 7 person group for the first round, 5 for the second, 4 for the third. That's alot of bag holding. Tuesday my buddy calls to ask if I was sore cause he was- I wasn't :)

I do often play three disc rounds too, but now I plan to cart whenever I can:)

Haters gonna hate;)

What are these "joint soothers" you speak of?

I've seen a guy down at Buffalo Grove, IL. with a cart with 3 bins of tupperware full of discs.

had to be carrying at least 60 discs. it's a wide open 9 hole course with the longest hole around 420 feet. He was throwing 5-10 discs a drive, most of which were r-pro bosses. Tons of bad throws, at least 9/10 and he was cursing, blaming the wind, or the degree of hyzer every throw.

Our group of 3 just sat and watched, as he didn't allow us or the group who was behind us (that went ahead of us and him) go ahead of him. Like he loved the attention to his bad throws.

That was my only experience with a disc cart, and apparantly he's a regular at that course.

Hate is the new defense word for people who do things that others question or challenge. People pull the hate word out and wear it like the emporer's new clothes...

I don't hate pull carters, I laugh (in my brain) at them for all the accouterments. It is honestly funny to me, especially if you are young, pulling a cart?

And the one disc guy comes along and kills it.

Not hating, nothing like that, not even, laugher yes, not hater.

Disc down = cool
Pull cart = funny

My opinion.

I would totally rock a cart on a long, flat course, beer or no beer. I've become a fan of a more minimalist set-up, but I don't think that has anything to do with carrying a cart or not. There are definitely advantages to using one, and disadvantages, too.

Please, I would really like to know the advantages of pulling a cart to play disc golf. If you are handicapped and need a seat, cool, pull cart for a group (beers) all good.

One player, dragging a cart, I would like to know the advantages.

This is subjective, I realize we all have our opinions and reasons why we like argyle socks.

My Mom taught me not to laugh at people, it's a good thing to live by indeed but a golf cart for playing disc golf?

Really?

There are a few people around my area that use them as well. They use them because they want to prolong their already bad backs. I would get one if I were motivated enough

Well for one you never have to set down or pick up your bag, no matter what it weighs. You also don't have to support its weight, ever. And depending on how the cart is set up, you don't have to bend over to take a disc out of your bag. You don't have to worry about what you set your bag in/on. You can just park your cart right in the middle of that puddle, and you're not gonna wear out the bottom of your bag. On the other hand dragging a cart around on a root infested, hilly course would just straight up suck.

The more crap you carry, and the flatter and longer the course, the more of an advantage the cart would be.

My problem is that I don't have a problem with picking up or carrying a small bag of discs. I'm not a tourney player and don't need a lot of discs to carry so weight is not a problem and neither is washing my bag and discs if they get dirty or muddy after a round...

I have a 10 disc bag, seems like I only use half of those but really only a third of them with regularity, maybe a custom sling bag is in my future, nah, I like carrying a liter of fluid and a towel and a retriever etc. Lot's of stuff, but fits in a Crunch.

I will stop laughing (silently) on the course at people with carts.

Who am I to say that in addition to throwing a disc, picking up the bag is no work...

A pull cart for disc golf?

My bad.

I have been thinking that it might be the way to go in the winter, plenty of room for towels, umbrella maybe even a small broom to sweep off the tee pad.

I see many players around here pushing an all terrain stroller with their bag in it.

cart

I herniated a disc in my neck in April and it pinched the radial nerve down my right arm. I made myself a cart out of an old ball golf cart and it saves me a ton of "on and off my shoulder" and a ton of "up and down".

I have seen a few in the Phoenix area, there were plenty of discs in there, but also some beer.
