Noobie Question Thread (Dumb Questions answered here)

I have a HPP Wizard that is nice and stable. So I got a couple more that are pretty soft, and they both are a lot less stable than my first one. They are 3 grams lighter, but I can't imagine that counts for all of it.

I heard ESP Comets are the Shiz. I am sure Frank would let you borrow one of his to try out. Right Frank???

...Sloppy runs for cover

There are like 4 for sale/trade right now in the marketplace.

I try to keep away from OOPs unless I really have the discs or cash to burn...

... frank, I normally carry 2 X Comets and 2 Zs... if I managed to get a hold of some ESPs would I be able to substitute the 2 for the 4?

(I still feel like I'd end up carrying 6 mids anyway...)

Yeah you could, a new and a beat ESP cover a ton of shots and while the new ESP comet isn't as stable as a Z, a beat roc works wonders in that spot.

Yeah... the set up would be

Beat ESP Comet
New-ish ESP Comet
Beat KC or DX Roc
New-ish DX or KC Roc.

I have beat rocs... and I'll never know why I entertained the idea of getting rid of them/taking them out of my bag... but my journey did allow me to find the comet :) and they lived happily ever after.

Regarding the Leopard, which would be more understable, Star or Champ?

I've had both.
Champ is certainly more overstable and pretty much stays that way. Then Star, DX, then Pro.

Star, DX, and Pro obviously beat in. With Pro beating in the most. Star beats in to be like a new Pro Leo and is very nice if you like leos.

Frank, is a 310' throw with a 165g Z Fly Dye Comet good? Also, when summer comes around, can I pester you and DGR about form specifics? I think I could get my mids past goal line to goal line before mid summer...

310' is pretty darn good. You can pester DGR about form right now if you want.

As for leopards, Champs and stars are both pretty stable out of the box, eco stars are a little less stable than champs and normal stars are about the same as champ.

If you want it to be understable out of the box, no. If you are willing to let it beat in then it is a great choice.
