I never see people talk about the Max. I didn't really like the feel of it when I saw one in the store. How does it fly? Any Max lovers?

Let the debate begin!

most versatile ultility disc in my bag. super overstable and relatively fast

they are useful for spike hyzers, hard turning hyzers, flicks, shots that won't turnover, forehand rollers, thumbers, pancake shots, shots over trees, skip shots

i dont play a round without one

they are comparable to the Discraft Flick, but both are very different when thrown side by side

HUGE FADING, WIND RIPPING, SPIKE HYZERING, SKIPPING BEAST (not a "beast") OF A DISC!!!!!

If you can't throw a disc over 350, do not purchase!!!

Great disc though. Firebird on Stereroids more of less.

it's not that people "cant throw it," but rather, they cant throw it for distance which isn't really the intent of the disc. like i said, it's more of a ultility disc, but for big arms it's like a slightly slower, more overstable xcal

It likes the ground.

/thread.

It's like a fat Xcal to me. I used to love mine but I fell in love with xXx's and Banshees more, their slowness makes them more useful to me.

well duh. of course they can "throw" it. It's a long range meat hook disc. If you can't throw it long range, then well, you can't throw it. This is what I meant.

I think you better worded it for me though.

I had ordered a Star Max. It was a meathook if you did not throw it as hard as you canwith snap. I gave it to a buddy.

I love my max. Great for chip shots. I've seen mine go out 150' hit the ground, skip about 15' off the ground and then land flat. Also for when you want to grip and rip into the wind fh and bh

I heard it is a faster trex. Does any one have any way to confirm or deny? The guy told me it was great for flick rollers. That is all I have heard.

I just remember throwing one downhill on a ski slope into a strong wind and it still meathooked. Used properly I'm sure it's a reliable tool. I'd love to see what one in low weight would be like

Most reliable disc there is straight into a headwind. When Im afraid that an Xcal might flip, go to the Max. Also as many others have pointed out, its a very versatile disc for sidearm, overhand, sidearm rollers, skip shots etc.

the biggest problem that Isee with some people who thro max, destroyer force flick predator etc... is yes the disc is a meat hook so throw it flat. I see a lot of people newer into the game getting an overstable disc like this and forgetting its overstable and throwing it on hyzers and then wondering ehy they can't throw it 330+
throw it flat
end of rant

Since when are destroyers and forces overstable discs?

they are low speed overstable, but I think he is mainly referring to people who are throwing them underspeed/improperly.

Yeah but theyre definitely not in the same category as the max, flick, and predator.
