Found A Disc Today

There is a hole at my local course that has got to be about 190ft. I watch people throw Nukes at it every single time I go there. I'm not confident enough with my putter drives to park it quite yet, but normally my leopard does just fine. I guess at the end of the day a birdie is a birdie.

Throwing a Nuke on a 190ft hole, is like putting a hubcaps on a tractor.

I see these kids throwing all kinds of stuff, Katanas, Surges, Nukes, out there at Blendon and the longest hole is 285ft. I especially love watching people tomahawk out there. I just chuckle to myself, play through, and they get to watch a girl out drive them with a putter.

I helped out with a 3 day kids clinic and this one kid had just gotten a tie dye force from his dad for his birthday.

There was no getting that boy to throw a leopard, even after he drove farther with it.

Future torque monkey.

That used to be me back when I started. There is a 200' ft hole at my home course that I used to throw an orc on. Now I just toss a Wiz and smile.

I've also got a friend that is convinced you should throw a golf disc with the same form as and Ultimate disc. I try to tell him but he just brushes me off...until he gets frustrated halfway through the round and wants to quit. So I just keep throwing and he tags along for the last 9. One day...

How could he not see the difference? I don't get it:doh:

I mean it was a kid,and it was from his dad,if he was young enough it makes sense.

So true. I have an idye champ destroyer in my bag that I can not convince my daughter to leave alone. I try to explain that it is really too much disc for me to throw, but since it is pretty it is the one that she wants to use. For all shots, putting included. She is 14, so she totally knows and understands that when she throws my 150 leopard she is out on the 180' range vs the 120' range with no accuracy with the destroyer. I just figure that it is better to let her throw what ever she wants whether it is the right disc or not just to have her out there with me having daddy daughter time. She has no real interest in disc golf. She just goes to hang out with me, so fly on destroyer!

i use to play this course a lot with my brother before he was killed....actually it was the last course i played with him....and was the first course he played at in 91'....he said it was a lot different then because the trees were not as tall on some holes.....its crazy to see the young kids throwing tomahawks all over that course.....that was the first course i had ever seen somebody throwing one ......"i was like , what the hell is he doing throwing like that".......i use to throw lids all the time with my brother so i was use to that before disc golf.....like roadtrip said its a roc and rhyno course..!!

Could have I guess. But from the types that frequent this course, one disc wonders, teenagers that like to throw on people, and the likes, I would say they were throwing with it. My guess is not only did they drive with it, they probably putted with it as well because it was right up by the basket just under the top of the snow.

How do you lose a disc after a miss putt when it's right under the basket??

Christy used to leave her putter in the basket if she had to keep score. She is much better now.

I did it once counting up my score at the last hole...luckily a dude yelled out and caught me, hers we had to go pick up because we completely left it.
