A few weeks ago I decided to simplify things and start playing with just one disc. I started using my Elite Z Buzzz and I am very happy with the results. I have learned to improve my technique to make some throws work rather than depending on the disc to do it all. I have to say the more I use the Buzzz the more impressed I am on how versatile it is. I have recorded some of my best scores and Disc Golf is more enjoyable than ever. I also can play a solo round in just under 45 minutes.

Anybody else playing with just one disc these days?

I love doing it from time to time. Ran through with just an ESP Buzzz yesterday, actually. It will really do anything you want it to.

What I really like about running a course with one disc is it gets you all worked up between shots, giving you practice calming down right before you take the next one. Plus it's a little more exercise. Plus throwing the Buzzz is just a joy.

No, but for most courses I play I really use only 3 or 4 different discs.

I believe most people are like you. Many people I've played with (myself included) will carry more discs that they normally need. 70% of the time I use a mid and a putter. Add my primary driver and the percentage will probably jump to 95.

I've played many one disc rounds using just my Aero. Even on a longer course I don't really notice score difference. However I do feel more comfortable carrying my normal bag on most any course.

One of my best scores on my home course was thrown using only a Z Buzzz. Its short and woody, so I pretty much just throw Buzzz's anyway! I am falling in love with the Buzzz SS too.

I wouldn't recommend doing just a 1 disc round because in the end it might mess up your putting. I prefer to do a round with just one disc as well as my putter if I am in the mood to do something like that.

I keep meaning to start practice rounds with my Champ Leopard, FLX Buzzz, and Ion as sort of a disced down style of play. Just to work on form.

i have thought about doing this, but i usually use all of my discs either way. im still gonna try it. ill try it once with my z buzz and once with my roc. see what happens there haha!

I set my bag up with a variety of shots, and discs that go different distances, so that I am set up for just about any course I play. You never know what you will need, so I carry the same 17 discs on every course, including two floaters an 3 putters.

I've played Shark rounds at Sylmar on multiple occasions. Best with a Shark -2.... Best with full bag -5. Sometimes it's confusing as to why I don't score much better with the full bag.

I have been very tempted to do this, I use probably 75% of my bag on any given round, but I'm very tempted to just grab my Ridge and go for it, especially on a course I know. I've been tempted to just use a Buzzz. besides, where would I carry a couple of beers @ if I didn't have my bag? ;)

I've played one disc rounds to learn and break in a new disc. One of those rounds was with a new Aviar and I ended up beating the other 3 that was playing along.

If one round of golf can mess up your putting game, it's not because you used the wrong disc to putt, it's because your putting game wasn't good to begin with.

do you guys get mocked as one disc wonders when you do this?

Personally, particularly on a relatively short little 9-holer, I'm more likely to secretly judge the people carrying a huge bag with quads than someone with one disc. In fact, on said course, I've taken to just taking 2-3 discs with me, no bag.

I've played a few rounds with just a Wizard. It's a lot of fun, and can open your eyes to what can be done with a putter. I've also played a few rounds with a SuperHero and/or a Zephyr. That's fun stuff too. I highly recommend throwing just lids and just putters, to help with form, and because it's fun.
