Man falls 100 feet while playing disc golf

I just clicked to read the article and the only thing that loaded was an ad for a funeral home. Irony??

    Injuries

My shoulder killed every time I got done playing when I first started but it doesn't happen anymore. Anyways, I was trying to play a quick round after work and my throw on a par 3 went a little of course and just into the trees, not wanting to lose it I starting running directly to where I saw...

Lost Disc Mega Thread: Post your lost disc questions and stories here.

Not really a lost disc story but I feel it applies. When I can't find a disc on an open hole or lightly wooded I return to the tee and try to replicate the throw to show me the correct area I should be looking. It almost always works and about half the time I find the first disc I threw first...

Review by Andy in Lisle in course Clark Park

4.00 star(s) -Concrete tee pads -Mix of lengths most on the shorter side -Design brings trees into play on everyhole, you will need a variety of shots to adjust -Small park that gets crowded on the weekends A couple long ones to test the accuracy and distance but shorter ones to too that are still tough. I...

Review by Andy in Lisle in course Sunny Hill Park

3.00 star(s) -The course isn't very busy (but the park is) -Some trees and elevations changes and variety of distances to keep things interesting -Hole 8 throws on the concrete path but all other tee are dirt and uneven (I usually throw off the grass next to the tee -A walking path runs through the course...

It works different muslces than other activities and in different ways. Today I can play 300+ holes on a weekend no problem as...

4.00 star(s) -Concrete tee pads and signs -Most players are expienced -Multiple tee locations and baskets are moved occasionally -The marshes are discs eaters -Gets mushy in quite a few places after even a light rain -Variety of distances but lacking obstacles other than the wet areas If you do throw a disc...

Review by Andy in Lisle in course Molex - Lisle Campus DGC

1.50 star(s) What a shame -Very well keep -Nice scenery -Would be a good practice course if it was close for you -It's technically private property -Apparently hired survellance persons circle by occasionally and run people off -Course layout it odd -No signs or teepad but the basket are numbered -I wasn't...

    Disc golf as exercise

Also, a big problem with running or sprinting especially when it's hot it the lack of water fountains at the courses I play and I forget to bring a water bottle most the time or it gets all warm and natsy from sitting in my car for a few hours.

    Disc golf as exercise

My first post I usually play 3 discs on every hole and jog in between to keep pace with the group in front of me or to catch up. I play mostly 9 hole courses but usually play the course 5 or 6 times on Saturday and Sunday. This is an excellent work out and I'm usually exhauted at the end...
