I'm not a tax professional by any stretch, but it definitely seems like they could deduct quite a bit of their travelling expense. At the very least, I think they'd be getting a ~$0.50 per mile for their driving which would end up being a decent chunk if they were properly keeping track of it.
That does raise another question. I've heard conflicting reports over the years on signature discs. I've heard it said unequivocally that the players get money off of tour series discs. However, I've heard it said in the past that they don't necessarily get money off of straight world...
Does anyone recall who his 2014 sponsors were (aside from Innova)? Grip...anyone else major?
It'd be great if he was making a killing, but that would essentially mean that his sponsorship money would have been two times his tournament winning and that seems a little unlikely.
With that...
I don't know that anyone outside of sponsored pros themselves know this answer for sure. Several years ago, we had some players who talked a little bit more about their sponsorship deals on here. This was in the time of innova/discraft dominance and, if memory serves, most of the deals ended up...
If she had signed with Lat/DD/Westside, she'd be marketing it and wearing logos. But there's nothing on her clothes, and it looks like all of her trilogy discs I've seen are blank and don't have any logos on them either. She's also still throwing some prodigy and I've never seen Trilogy let a...
Most of the time not, but it really depends on what's going on behind the scenes. What it's beginning to look like is she's still technically under contract and asked to be released, but they refused. I would think if that wasn't the case, she'd be having some manufacturer's logo on her stuff...
Well she's definitely thrown an m2 and what looked like a PA4...so mixed bag. I have to believe if she was free of prodigy she would have signed with some other manufacturer. Given that she has no Prodigy logos anywhere, I'm guessing she's unhappy with the contract she's in and protesting...
I haven't watched the whole thing...but was Paige the only one who didn't directly address the camera and say "I'm proud to be a member..."? That seems....strange.....
Picked up an atom on a whim and I'm finding it surprisingly likeable. I had been putting with a PA3 for a while as the low profile was really comfortable in my hand, but the disc's lack of glide was causing me issues. I had been putting with Wizards for a while but the deeper rim made my...
Yep. That's all it is. What people are willing to pay fluctuates. Older discs tend to just keep increasing in price, but you'll see new discs that are of an initial limited run spike in price before settling back down to something reasonable.
I thought it was at first, but looking at it closer, it's not. I saw that purple driver in person last year. It's a D1 that's pretty see through. When I watched the Aussie open video full screen on my monitor, that disc is opaque. I couldn't tell when I watched it on my phone, but definitely...
